So I just ordered these games online for a catch from The Warehouse and CDWOW! I know not all of them are really great games but they were going pretty cheap,  I also picked up World of Warcraft Cataclysm from the store yesterday, I'm not really into wow but my brother players it pretty avidly and I had a ton of fun in it in the past yeah I obviously have the other expansion , but I'm not into throwing myself in the game or huge amounts of time , I mainly just enjoyed the the RPG playing by myself killing players as  I progressed, don't get me wrong I didn't go hunting people or even kill people lower level than me , 90% of it was self defense.. honest. Anyway these are the games I ordered.

I've actually got this in my ps3 at the moment about to play it, just about to check out the trophies boy do I like trophies and achievements that's one of the main reasons I've purchased alot of these games. Iv e played Mirror's edge about 2 times before and always been a fan of the game and it's introduction to acrobatics to FPS games at least its the first I know of or can think of that's done it. The game cost me 
$17.99 with free shipping all games from CD WOW! have free shipping that's one of the many things I like about the site, and of course its bargains. S picking up a ps3 game for 18 bucks seemed like a sweet deal to me  , not that I'm trying to justify my spending it's all pure overindulgence, that and my new years resolution was to start buying Games in the retail box's because I've come to hate just having the game on my steam account or computer with the CD key in a email or something. I'm hoping to get all the trophies because I don't remember there being anything in the game I couldn't do so it shouldn't be a problem yet although I'm saying this before having looked at the trophy list.

So this lol?, yeah really, I was on game-trailers looking at some Top 10 GT countdown games from a link a friend of mine Eugene, sent me, he always sends me links of new games and other various links I would probably never find myself , hes good like that. I'm not sure I would have bought some of these games If i didn't watch those video's on game trailers they really sold them for me, they were reviews. the front mission review was actually quite condescending actually but the way the bloke did the review it seemed like a experience I'd want to have with the game myself like he had, So when I was scrolling through the bargain basement on CD WOW! I came across this for $26.00 free shipping , I recently played Fear 2 on my PC and PS3 and when I was in the power armor yet again and I thought to myself I would like to spend the whole game in this suite on hard difficulty and all then laughed to myself yeah right. then saw this game and with those missile pods you get to fire it seemed like what I was looking for at the time. The disk clip inside is actually broken but it 1 side of the 3 seems to still be holding the disk still lol.

So Lost Planet 2 was the other review I watched which generally showed the game to be quite terrible actually endless justifying the game all the way through , stand up guy he was. The game seems to have a 4 player coop online , which is always cool playing a game with someone always makes the game 'that much better' depending on the friend you have of course, cough*. The game seemed to consist of alot of futile missions and blowing up massive creatures with your buddies which seemed a good enough reason to get it for 
$24.99 that and the lingering dream at the back of my head of having a massive game collection In my house one day and a game experience I want to have of course.

Resident Evil 4 PC

I got this for $ 2.97 with another game Dark Messiah: Might and Magic.
 
I've played Resident Evil before and to my memory I think it was the one I most enjoyed for some reason maybe because I really haven't played any of the others haha other than Resident Evil 5 which was relatively recent last year I think, that wasn't that great but for 3 dollars for both I couldn't say no.

So I have played this game before and I really loved this game It was awesome , I actually tried playing oblivion before it but It wasn't my cup of tea at all , I checked this game out and tried it and Loved it really good story and everything. I definitively recommend playing this game and it was a absolute steal at  $2.97 with RE4

Ok I haven't even watched the movie of this game and I'm not going to even try and justify myself for buying it for $ 4.97 , but how bad can it be, I kind of Just wanted to add the achievements to my Windows live accounts but how bad a can it be? I guess I'm going to have to watch the movie now. It actually didn't come in a box like the box art I have on the left, It came in a blue baby handle like one personally I would have preferred this one on the left as it was displayed on the site but I really don't mind.

So wow this only Cost me $19.97 and for the collectors edition I was pretty stoked , It comes with a model of Sam I'll link below the black CD box in the picture below looks pretty cool , I didn't get that one however I just got the normal PC one I have here on the left the model is actually pretty damn cool, although I'm not a really big fan of  all Tom Clancy games I did like the Splinter Cell series
 
It also comes with some exclusive in game content and the original soundtrack. Out of the all games I bought this week I was most impressed with this one, It was the last one in the store at the Warehouse and had to be bought online

I actually Didn't get this game, I ordered this game for around 20 bucks from CD-wow! but it seemed to be a mistake and they canceled my order , its around 90 bucks usually. It was obviously too good to be true personally I think they should have awarded me the game , It was their mistake miss advertising but what can you do , I'm not bothered at all but I will look at trying to get the game in the future if I ever see the price really low

I've never actually played any of the Devil May Cry games but heard so many good things about them and seen a ton of trailers and video's so I saw it on CDWOW! and decided to pick it up for

I'm still waiting for Mini Ninjas and Devil May Cry 4 to be delivered they will probably arrive tomorrow or Monday.
 
 
 
So those were all the games I bought , I've definitely taken a good step on my way to purchasing games in there retail box's. I really do love steam but it just doesn't feel like you get what you payed for at all. I really don't like having a bunch of numbers in front of me telling me I own a game and owning the actually hard copy is part of the great experience for me. I know very well steam accounts can be hacked and numbers erased never to be remembered I've lost a steam account before It's not something I want to invest in largely again

F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin

So I'm writing a blog on Fear 2, I've played the game about three times on the PC and once on the PS3. The first time I played Fear 2 when it just came out I had a relatively bad PC system so I had to pretty much play everything on medium, in order for some smooth gaming experience. I really loved the original fear so I pretty much had no complaints about fear 2 unlike everybody else around me telling me ''oh it's not that much better'' or ''It's slightly Improved'' I thought the game was vastly different and was excited to get started ,I find the game very comfortable just being in the game, I liked the default controls and the way you would aim with shift and melee with mouse click 2 opposed to other FPS games where aiming down the sight or zooming in is done with mouse button 2 and shift used to run/walk.
 
 I know it's supposed to be fright filled game or freaky but roaming the halls with Alma harassing you and with replica soldiers assaulting you or getting torn apart randomy by Alma all round is just very comforting for me, because I just love fear too much to be scared, don't get me wrong, on my first play-through I did jump at a few things but the reflex slow motion you get does make you nearly unkillable, ya know? imagine you were one of those replica soldiers.. unfair right? anyway I think I almost played the game in one sitting, woke up in the morning and finished the rest of it off in two hours, I was always eager to get to the next scene, I played it on Hard and died a great many times. The Ending was most interesting and worrying at the same time with Alma rubbing her belly after the chamber opened but what concerned me the most was stokes shot lying on the edges of the dome and the dome seemed to close on her since you don't see her move or anything I read somewhere that stokes was shot in the head? but in all three plays I seemed to remember her getting shot in the stomach but that could just me seeing what I want to see over and over again because I'd hate stokes to die but yeah that concerned me because I hoped she wouldn't die, but when the dome opens up there's nothing there nobody in sight so who knows, hopefully they pull a mass effect 2 on her like Shepard.
 
On the other playthroughs knowing everything already the hard difficulty level came easier, not on the PS3 however, that was a challenge and effectively made the game scarier although I found the graphics quite horrendous on the PS3 compared to the PC what made it worse was my TV I have connected to my ps3 has a terrible MS rate alot of the game was a blur looking left and right. I eventually managed to finish the game up on hard on a large amount of sittings because playing the game is a lot harder with that analog controller compared to a mouse.
 
This game is a 9/10 for me  and I'm looking foward to F.3.A.R , I wonder why they called it F.3.A.R and not F.E.A.R 3 because First encounter assault recon is no longer viable in F3AR its First Three Assault Recon lol, It does look cool on the box art though
 
anyway this ain't no review so I'm not looking for critics like the last bunch of assholes that attacked my blog post this is just my 2 cents on the game, that said I'm probably not going to post my blogs in the forum anymore anyway so it shouldn't be an easy task for the trolls to find

this quick pickup for 15$ Is not well worth the waste at all. So the game just effectively released yesterday I pre-ordered it thinking hey it can't be that bad and I loaded it up to give it a try, after downloading the game on steam and then launching it the game has a small bunch of files to extract or download before you can play, once In it seems your forced to play a tutorial before venturing any further into even the options menu.
 
the game has a rather out of control feel to it in terms of looking around with the mouse sure you can turn the sensitivity down but i feel that just makes you more vulnerable anyway aside from that ramble the game looks a lot like team fortress 2 a game I don't really like at all, but seeing the coins drop from the npc mobs in the trailer and hearing you get to upgrade your skills drawed me to try it , however it seems you can only upgrade your 4 different skills with cash you collect in game for your class up to level 3 in one game and all is reset after the game ends. another rinse and repeat game. 
 
so the biggest thing that bugs me about this game is the assassin class , I'll go no further after explaining this because I'm not writing a review here, I'll give the game a few more try outs though however I Don't see me going with it anywhere. The assassin class can go completely invisible and walk around and 1 hit KO any class from behind leaving the only diffirence being in the hands of your enemy assassin , which is relatively unkillable unless they are jumping on a teammate or doing something stupid like running in the line of fire. a even slightly clue'd up player playing a assassin is extremely annoying and the class its generally skill less which made me first 3 games on the different servers a nightmare of  constant dying to female figure every 10-20 seconds after spawning 
 
so all in all I wouldn't recommend buying this game. That all said just so you know this isn't my official review or opinion on the game It's just some thoughts that went through my mind when trying it out and I'm just not sure if it deserves any more thought.

So all of the comments up to no.5 below are to my blog above, I'm editing this because obviously according to the comments below It's a impulsive and unfair rant which I've come to realize after giving the game more of my time. So I've spent some more of my precious time with this game and found it to be quite enjoyable and I definitely have to eat my words nom nom nom. although what I said before wasn't 100% fabricated the assassin can still be an annoying one hit KO annoyance  sometimes but can easily be avoided if you know what your doing. And have discovered the other classes have there annoyances as well but in regards to the assassin if you are lulling about in the game casually you are going to constantly die to them if you aren't keeping both eyes open and it's going to be annoying but It certainly Isn't enough to bring the game down at all It can actually be a fun challenge stopping them , but they will get you! and me being color blind n' all they always eventually get me despite my efforts
 
So If you hated Team Fortress 2 like me, Don't think it will be the same with this game there's a lot more to it. This game will take you further than a 15$ lunch will on Saturday I'm finding all the classes very diverse and incomparable to each other in terms of fairness its like dota/heroes of newerth hero diversity, situation situation situation. It's alot of Fun if you let it take you there , so if your looking for something to play that's reasonably good and cheap this is probably the game for you, I actually came to realize and appreciate this game a bit better when I tried out Breach, another cheap steam game that came out , and boy does it have some lag problems, that said what I failed to realize is how stable this game MNC came out , I mean that's what we expect for our money with games these days but most of the time this never happens with most multilayer releases, one day later dedicated servers were up and I was satisfied
 
I will say the achievements are abit excessive 2500 kills of turrets and all sorts , wah I'm not really sure I'll be playing the game that much , but hey if some of my friends buy it maybe, So If you haven't bought it yet and are stubborn like a friend of mind and think its now to late you've missed the hype your wrong go grab the game and jam

Infamous Currently Playing.

So I'm playing infamous on my ps3 lately , a tried it a couple of months back but It didn't hold my gaze so to say, I tried playing it, on hard, I'm quite obsessed with playing games on the hardest difficulty but I don't think that helped because starting off the game with no interesting powers lead me quickly looking elsewhere, I gave the game another casual try on easy a couple of days ago and It quickly turned into something I appreciated , I feel infamous is a lot like GTA in a way its urbany feel and street roaming , I think its GTA on lighting minus the grand theft auto which is what makes gta what it is i guess. You know roaming the streets finding collectibles blowing up the bad guys completing useless side missions On a mission to fix up the neighborhood.
 
Anyway I'm really enjoying the game so far, I'm playing hero on easy I really don't normally play games on such a low difficulty but I'm just not entirely masterful with the playstation analog controller, when I'm done with this playthrought I'll shock up the game on hard and go infamous because I want all the bad karma trophies! also I believe Its a lot easier blowing up everything infront of you than aiming at specific targets so playing it on infamous creates a sense of everything else dying instead of you trying to avoid killing civilians or even the enemies when they are on the floor in a feeble attempt to stop your  your karma reduction . so I generally believe playing infamous on infamous karma rating will make playing the game on hard easier lol.
 
 
It just always seems to be easier being the bad guy , Good choices are always harder and self destructive of course that goes both ways. Thinking about that actually , a lot of the bad choices I've made in my life came real easy, and I probably wouldn't have had wanted it another way, a lot of em, not all lol.
 
anyway Infamous is a 7/10 for me at the moment

ah blogging, I've never been one to tell people what I'm really thinking, truth be told I'm only writing this blog post just to get a  quest done on giant bomb becausee I seem to have a obsession with quests and achievements. A well controlled obsession I believe at least. that said I should probably write down what I'm currently thinking about these days, Well soon enough in a month or two I'm moving to Auckland with my family so a LOT is going through my head at the moment , I'm going to try and blog more to get these thoughts out of my head so I can see how stupid I am now in 5 years time.
 
Anyway I guess I'll not shove everything into one post .
