Especially Ryan's mic. It sounds like they are on a radio station, where as they previously sounded like they were just in the same room as you. Anyone notice this?

Note: I listen to bombcast on fairly expensive headphones, so maybe I notice more.

It actually had some cool personalities from time to time and didn't post an endless stream of news stories that were top 10 lists for page clicks.

Now we have the douche fest of Jessica Chobot trying to act sexy for all the 12 year old boys and hipster greg miller trying to act like a homo for all the 12 year old boys. Nuff said.

*Jumps in time machine 5 years later*

Hey guys remember when Giantbomb was a cool website? It had videos everyday that weren't random top 10 lists with ad's in between them? It all started to go downhill when they made a woman join... I know Jeff said it was for "diversity" but was it really necessary for her to show up at every TNT and video with her cleavage hanging out? Then they just copied all the news stories from Gamespot to save money and time and only produced videos and podcasts. Shame the bombcast is only 60 minutes now, guess thats wasn't a good use of employee time.

I'm assuming Jeff had some stake, and Ryan as well. So they prolly got a little payday from this deal. I'm assuming everyone else now working for CBS is making more money, BUT if anyone has switched jobs/been swallowed by another company you know money only looks green for so long. Let's see...

- No awesome office where they get to interact on a daily basis with other people outside of gaming (Tested, Screened, etc) and bounce off them to keep content fresh.

- What game dev's are going to want to "hang out" in the middle of a high rise office building? The old place had a cool indie underground vibe with couches and chairs, and A FUCKING BAR! Some of the best videos and podcasts on this site were with game developers just hanging out pretty much totally uncensored.

- The "PLUS" is that they don't have to worry about business "shit". Do you think Brad/Patrick/Vinny/Drew even were involved in any of that? Prolly not so what do they care, they just lost all the coolness of GB for a slightly bigger paycheck.

How many smaller companies get bought or merged with a bigger company and say 100% the same as before. I can think of Fucking Blizzard and guess what guys, GB isn't Blizzard. Like it or not Giantbomb is a niche site with a small fanbase compared to most sites on the net and especially bigger gaming sites. Why would a huge company cater to the demands of a tiny audience? It's not like GB is a cash cow for CBS...

Anyone not expecting the crew to breakup or GB to change drastically over the next year is in for a shock.

Big company = Bigger pay

Selling a company you founded = Payday.

I can't blame them, doesn't Jeff have roomates in a house? It didn't appear he was making tons of money for being such a high profile person in the industry.

Money sure does tend to corrupt. I bet the gap between the principals like Jeff and Ryan, and Vinny/Brad/Patrick is bigger than ever. I'd imagine one of the latter 3 to leave within a year imho.

My grandfather used to tell me stories of the horrors he faced... and I think he used to just tell me the "good" stuff, so he didn't frighten me. I wonder if people born after WW2 can even imagine an entire country fighting a war for YEARS? What are your thoughts? I don't mean to bring up depressing thoughts.

It actually keeps me motivated in my life, nothing is as bad knowing that one day you may wake up and the next you may be dead. I know we have people fighting overseas now, but imagine the entire country focued on War, I wonder if we can? *moment of silence*

I honestly have not been "On the edge of my seat waiting" In fact I don't have time to play D3 if it comes out in the next month or two so I'm kinda bummed by this.

I don't like this for the simple reason... This means they assume we will be playing this game for a few months after release for this patch. Myself and many other gamers just don't have time to play one game or our style isn't that (I know Jeff is like this). I want to play ALL of Diablo 3 the first few weeks, then I'll move onto a another title. I did the same thing with Starcraft 2. It's maybe why I never buy DLC, after the game is DONE it is DONE. I want to play PVP but with life and other games, I won't be coming back after it's out. So I really do feel like a part of the game is missing... I know I can pop it back in and play, but that's not the point. PVP is like a HUGE part of this game the way they made it out to be, so I'm sad by this.

You know those games that sell OK, maybe break even or a smidge more but are not total blockbusters. You go on Xbox live after a month for those level of games and the community is dead. It sucks, you used to get dozens of total random games at this level just a generation ago. I know games are so expensive but it's starting to look like only two level of gaming will survive. The super huge 5 million+ blockbuster (COD etc), and the indie type of games with a small team. The problem is those super high end blockbusters are getting so generic to the point of boredom, and indie games are great but they lack the production muscle of a mid or big sized game (So you can't do some types of cinematic style games in that range).

What do you guys think? I just realized some of my FAVORITE games of this generation have been those medicore selling not exactly AAA titles. Guess what publishers, I didn't play Crysis 2, Homefront, Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor, etc... I am trying to vote with my dollars but when a game like Deus Ex or Syndicate is a FPS but does something a little different it doesn't sell well. Are the masses just not bored like us very hardcore gamers?

Jurassic Park for the SNES. Fuck that game and it's lack of save slots. Once I shut the system off it cleared everything. Lucky for me you could take games back when I was a kid.
