Set goals for yourself, strive to do them, then set new ones. That is the best way to live happily.

With any luck, most people will have good enough intentions to set goals of being more educated, changing the world, helping others. That if everyone completes their own happiness the world will improve. Though I do think you should look outside your own life... people who say "I'll litter, do whatever I want, waste energy... I won't be alive to see the results".

It's a little short sighted. What if your parents said "Screw it, let's nuke the Soviet Union, we won't live to see the results". The world would be pretty messed up for you wouldn't it? Or if every researcher, engineer, and scientist thought the world was fine the way it was... well you wouldn't have anything you are using right now.

I just rather them spend the time to make/record these videos to do something a little more interesting and unique than extended quick looks. I never watched the other ED. To me GB isn't about watching someone play a whole game, it's about little snipbits of various games and commentary etc.

Much rather have an 8/16 bit ED run, like the SNES Marathon where they play a new classic game everyday or something.

I dont think they earn much. I remember rorie saying on the oscar live cast that he earns $20,000 a year. Jeff probably earns a little more since he runs the biggest whiskey site.

The dude does seem to have a never ending wad of cash coming from somewhere, but this isn't any of our business.

Not really. He is single, no kids, doesn't seem like he smokes or drinks all that much. Modest food budget, utilities, gas and rent/mortgage. Plenty of disposable income left over even on a modest salary.

also this

Wait WHAT?!?! 20K a year, in freaking California are you crazy? Unless that dude has like 3 other jobs no way man! I make 3x as much as that out of college, I'm single, don't spend much money, have a cheap car, and I barely am making it by.

Assassin's Creed, I couldn't even finish brotherhood. Not that they are bad games but they are too big and long to play through 1 a year.

Also Arkham City looks great but I got bored halfway through the first game.

Big God of War fan, finished the games on PS2 and then recently replayed them in the updated collection. Was oging to move onto GOW3 but the collection of PSP games seems to get postive reviews.

Are they too much a step back from GOW2 to enjoy before 3? Or they worth picking up to play through? I love the GOW universe and stories so i'm leaning on them being worth it.

Jeff because he's funny, names obscure game references, and just honestly knows more about this industry than anyone. He's both funny and insightful, very good.

I'm not sure about everyone else but I didn't have time to sit down and watch 5 hours straight. Would they be uploading at least parts of this stream? I think there are many people like myself who missed it but would love to see it... since we are paying.

I havn't played an MMO in a long time so I'm looking forward to playing it. Even if it's just for 20-30 hours during the 30 day trial I'll get my money's worth with the single player content.

Physical copy because I just love having a box of a game still. I don't really enjoy paying extra for digital items that have no actual value.

So all my Civ 5 playing has made me think back to how much I loved another Turn based game, Rome Total War. I'd like to try one of the newer ones but I'm a bit unsure.

In terms of setting Medevil 2 seems the best to me, while Shogun 2 seems the least favorite. I heard Empire has lots of bugs, but got fixed in Napoleon?

Is Napoleon and Xpac for Empire, so could I still play the first campgian map? The huge scale and ship combat of Empire seemed like a bunch of fun, but again I know that the newer ones have better visuals and bugs fixed.

Any direhards have a suggestion? I'm pretty good at Turn based games so I can handle something more diffucult, and the price doesn't matter. It's more about spending my time on the most fun one.

thanks

Not a rant or troll post, in fact I can't wait to play this game... but the whole Cold War, post galactic war angle at least story wise doesn't really go along with the game.

That always bugged me about WoW, you had these factions "At Peace" yet still murdering eachother by the thousands in set points (Battlegrounds, open pvp, etc). While story in WoW was a bit of a joke...The main reason myself and others are going to play the old republic is for the story. I know the game says there are "proxy wars and battles", but it just seems like a type of setting that can't last the length of the game's hopefully long life. It just feels like if after WW2 the Allies and Axis kept fighting battles in random parts of the world for no good reason.

Do you think Bioware is just setting up another open conflict down the road? I'd hate to see the game 5 years old with a couple Xpac's and still stuck in the same timeline personally. With such a focus on your individual story I hope the "Galatic Story" is as epic for everyone at some point in this game.
