I'm a perfectionist. I like looking at something and saying "Hey...you see that? I did that...and it's finished."
That's why when a game comes out and gives me so much crap to do, I become a nervous wreck until I beat said game. That used to be the standard. I remember when all you had to to was beat a game and you could boast about 100 percent-ing it. Now we have achievements and trophies that give us tasks that are, often times, annoying and unnecessary. Thinking about trying to get a 100% Platinum on Final Fantasy XIII is making me itchy and flaccid.
One of the things I hate is when they add trophies after the game comes out. I like having more stuff to do, but It's a crying shame. I had 94% complete on Uncharted 2 until the new maps came out. Now I'm down to 54% and I don't have the DLC. I am a wreck. Another offender is Burnout Paradise...a game that I've Platinum-ed, but only have 64% in because of - hurr - multiplayer trophies. It seems wrong.
Maybe my problem is multiplayer trophies...I must look into this...
