" yes. i love variety. but u have to admit that some of those songs shouldnt exist... and my problem is the ones i paid for... like "cool for cats" and "rob the pesident"... I love the variety.. just think it could be better. "
I enjoy Cool for Cats, not exactly a song I would play on Rock Band but this is a game that's meant to appeal to a broad range of people ranging from expert players to those that just want to have fun. Some easy songs we may find boring to play may actually be fun for others.
They simply cannot possibly appeal to everyone. Everyone has different taste in music (and movies, books, cars, computers, etc.). Harmonix kind of has an approach where they have track packs geared towards specific genres however (country, classic rock, metal) but these are all just downloadable content.
I wouldn't say I buy games and never play them but I buy games and never finish them. Usually I just end up playing a few days or half way through the story and give up because either it isn't compelling enough for me or there were just too many good games coming out that I've just moved on. The latest games to fall victim to this are Batman Arkham Asylum, Killzone 2 and Assassin's Creed II.
We're nearly half way through this generation's console systems and we have been seeing a lot of impressive video games graphic-wise. If it comes to a halt right now, I probably wouldn't care because I haven't seen anything better as of yet (other than CGI movies). It would be a different story if the next generation consoles are around the corner and screens of what video games could end up looking were shown. It's because I don't know what the future holds graphically speaking that it wouldn't bother me right now.
Flight of the Conchords are great, that is, both the band and the television show. Even though they aren't doing the television show anymore, I hope they release at least one more album. As others have said, season one is a lot better (along with their first album) but the second is good too just because it has 'Carol Brown'.
I found The Wire to be a show that I didn't instantly click with but a show that slowly progressed into one of my favourite shows. I haven't seen the last season yet because it hasn't been released in Australia or, at least, I can't find it anywhere but the fourth season has to be my favourite.
I wouldn't exactly categorise Dexter and The Wire in the same genre. I personally couldn't really enjoy Dexter. But if you're looking for another crime show but with a little bit more action, I highly recommend The Shield.
