Game of The Year 2014 Users Choice

I haven't played as much games as I wanted this year since this is a transitionnal year in my personnal life, but still, I do this every year, let's see what we have!

List items

  • Bioware is back. They went back to the drawing board, did their homework and came back with this fantastic rpg, filled with content, great combat and a cool story. I plan to play this for a long long time with multiple playthoughs. a must for any rpg fan and this is my 2014 GOTY.

  • Blizzard took a game that everyone hated and made it fun and relevant again. It is the biggest turnaround for a game I ever witnessed. I played hours and hours of Diablo 3 thanks to this expansion and I do plan to play some more.

  • Every expansion, I think this is the year I skip the expansion and go on with my life but here I am. And man am I happy with WoD. The Garrisson is by far the best addition to the mmo formula i've seen in years and they implemented storytelling in those quests like never before and I love it!

  • I love this game. They made the last true original innovation to the open world genre with the nemesis system and I feel we will see this system a lot in the years to come. Fantastic new IP, love it.

  • A disappointment compared to other Civ games, and yes, it feels like a Civ 5 mod but the sci fi feel is there and the gameplay is still solid. Just one.... more.... turn!

  • Troy Baker is fantastic, the gameplay is solid and the visuals are stunning. This is the first next gen game I played and it was a blast!

  • Once again, Blizzard takes a known genre and makes it accessible and fun for everyone. This is Blizzard's first attempt at the free to play model and also their first "small" project since their early days and it paid off. A fantastic card game that everyone should try.

  • The story is great, the characters are well written, the gameplay is fun and original but that ART! Man is this beautiful and inspired.

  • I backed this on kickstarter the second it was announced and I never regretted my decision. A fantastic game with pretty solid voice acting and an all around good rpg!

  • An old school crpg, very well crafted with good potential to revive the Divinity franchise.
