Luckily, I haven't played to many bad games this year but Baja: Edge of Control is probably the worst. It's easily the worst racing game I've played this generation, maybe ever. The definitely weren't kidding about the "edge of control" part. It felt almost impossible to control the cars sometimes. I understand it's an off road racing game but the out-of-controlness seemed ridiculous. To be fair, I only played the game for about 3 or 4 hours before I said "fuck it!" and gave up on it.

In second is Far Cry 2. The game just couldn't keep me interested so I also gave up on that one after about 3 or 4 hours. It's not nearly as bad as that other game though.

Yes, neither of these games came out this year but I played them this year so, that counts, right?

I'm just going by what I saw in the Quick Look but yeah, it looked pretty dumb. Twitter on my Xbox, no thanks. There is easier ways to use twitter already. Last.FM was the only thing I was actually interested in but if you can't use it while playing a game then what's the point? Who uses their TV as a music player?

This blog is about the band Diamond Plate. They are awesome. I actually just started listening to their stuff today but it was so good I had to write about it.

 Diamond Plate bio from Lastfm.com:

Detonating out of the suburbs of Chicago, DIAMOND PLATE quickly established themselves as one of the top forces in the emerging U.S. thrash metal scene. A young but formidable three-piece, DIAMOND PLATE made their debut in early 2008 with their raw-energy, no-nonsense “Mountains of Madness” E.P. release. Although the three members’ ages averaged at a mere 15 years old, critics and metal fans alike saw the colossal potential of the band in the short release and the popularity of DIAMOND PLATE began to grow. After being approached by Stormspell Records, the “Mountains of Madness” E.P. was released as part of “Thrash Clash Vol. 2” with Swedish thrashers Oppression gracing the second half of the split. With the distribution of an indie label and self-promotion through the internet, the young three-piece from Chicago soon began to make a powerful international presence.

As the shows they played started getting bigger and bigger, DIAMOND PLATE became a household name in the metal scene of Chicago. Directly supporting some of thrash metal’s finest legends including Overkill, Destruction, and Joey Belladonna, DIAMOND PLATE easily became recognized for their intense and high-energy live sets. The band began to not only evolve in their live show but in their songwriting and technical abilities as well. Two newly recorded songs were released via the internet in late 2008 and it became clear to the metal world that DIAMOND PLATE was a much tighter and focused band. After a year of crushing live shows and rave reviews of their new songs, U.K. based Terrorizer Magazine named DIAMOND PLATE the 5th Best Unsigned Band of 2008.

Would you believe these guys just graduated high school last year? That's crazy. I'm glad there is such a young thrash band kicking ass though. Maybe it will shut up those elitist thrasher assholes who think you need to be at least over the age of 30 to know anything about Thrash Metal. Ok, that's all I have to say really. I think the music speaks for itself. If you're into Thrash then I think you'll like this. It also should give you hope for the future of Thrash.

Oh, I also wanted to post a video of a song from the band Skeletonwitch's new album Breathing the Fire. I really liked the album Beyond the Permafrost and I can't wait to get this one. Their style of music is definitely different than Diamond Plate but I still like it. It's more like Thrash mixed with Black and Death Metal.

Basically I want a DS that can download all kinds of old Game Boy games. Make it a little more comfortable to hold as well, and only one screen, and it isn't a touch screen. OK, this sounds nothing like a DS.

I want a new Game Boy with the graphic capability of a DS (Maybe even better) and has the ability to download most of the old Game Boy games. I don't need it to play movies or music or anything like that either. I just want games. The controls are identical to a SNES controller.

This would be awesome for me because I don't really like the Wii's motion controls and I normally only play DS games that require you to use little to no touch screen controls. I think this might be the best Nintendo platform for gamers who like the old school Nintendo stuff.

This will never happen though. I'm sure if Nintendo came out with a new handheld device it would be some sort of Game Boy thing only they've added motion sensing to it. Oh man, I shouldn't be giving them any ideas, especially ones that sound so horrible.

Ffffuuuuuuuck. That was almost torture. I went without internet (or TV) for an entire weekend. Before, that wouldn't have been a big deal but I was freaking out about not being able to visit Giant Bomb. Now that I've returned from my short break I feel like a stranger. The forums seem different and everything. I'll try to never do that again.

Man, I spend to much time on this website. I'm fucking addicted or something.
