I've got the Survival Edition arriving from Amazon tomorrow with "Release Date Delivery."
I'm giving the lunchbox & bobblehead to my wife & using the clock for myself. ;)
I can't wait!  I'm picking up a guide from the store tomorow (I didn't want to pay shipping for a guide that wasn't going to arrive until 2 days after I started the damn game :P  )

My alarm clock broke recently and I needed to replace it.  It doesn't even need to have an alarm as long as it tells time - our daughter regulates when we wake up in our house anyway :P
 My wife collects bobble heads & tins, so I know I'll be giving them up, which makes the purchase less of a selfish one (at least that's what I'm telling myself :D )

I really love Oblivion - I think it's still the game with the most hours I put into, and I know (hope) that Bethedsa won't disappoint.  Hell, I'll even buy Post-apocalyptic horse armor DLC if they make it available :lol:

I bought a core system on launch morning after waiting in line all night (the customer in front of me got the last of the Premiums) for whatever the US MSRP was at launch  and a harddrive from another store that morning.

Later, I bought an Elite for the HDMI connection for $500 and installed the old one in the master bedroom.

I don't even try to get those "rank #1 on the leaderboard" achievements.

- Children and teenagers who "forget" to mute and engage in extented telephone conversations with their "girlfriend"
- The kid who continually mentions how drunk/high he is
- imaptient/unhelpful/selfish teammates

*signs*

Actually, I'd be pretty happy - as long as M$ can come up with some comparable games to the Wii sports stuff, I won't have to buy a Wii for my daughter in the next few years or so.  As long as they learn from the mistakes that others have made, they should do alright.
