Yeah, it was N64 for me. I ended up coming to the PSone game fairly late about around the time Final Fantasy IX came out from what I remember.

Weird timing; I've been playing through Ratchet & Clank Collection and just ordered Jak and Daxter Collection, and was talking to my friend jokingly about when the Crash HD Collection was coming out.
 
 
I'd totally buy and play both Crash and Spyro HD collections.

Crash Bandicoot is THE reason I got a Playstation. I was in fifth grade, and a friend brought his PS during a "free day", which basically meant the kids could do whatever they want as long as the teacher approved it. He showed us Crash Bandicoot, and immediately I had to have it.

I mowed many yards that year.

Honestly the first platformer I connected with was Megaman 4 and the TMNT for the NES. But when I turned 10 or so, I got a playstation as the first in my class, along came crash and that game holds a special place in my heart. Also later a similar game called Croc I think?

Crash Team Racing is still the best cart game.

Crash/etc needs a role in either the new Super Smash or some insane platformer cross over.

As someone who games solely now on the PC but used to love the PSX, this shit hit me with a freight train of nostalgia I think after I beat DmC, I'm going to play some Crash Bandicoot. Now I wonder which was the best of the series....

I know, but it brings a lot of attention and good will towards my work. I don't like Reddit, it just makes me happy to see people enjoy the stuff I do. I would suggest going to play CB2, then 3, and lastly the best one Crash Team Racing. That game is so good.
