Is it good? I've heard you guys talk about rings and shit no one cares since they don't have the game yet. Tell us how it is! Is it better than Dark Souls 1?
What scares me about the game so far is listening to people talk about it a lot but hearing NO ONE saying how they really feel about it. I mean, is it cool? Does it fulfill your expectations?! Say something besides "oh yeah that ring and that weapon and..." I don't care! I'll find about that stuff once I have the game but how is it? Are the graphics as shitty as everyone is saying? Does it feel like Dark Souls 1.5 instead of 2.0? Are you having fun? How's the story? At least a bit intriguing? I'm dying here!
Ugh, Mass Effect is going to win. How sad. I thought this community knew better.
It was always going to go this way.
Dark Souls, despite being the vastly better and way more influential game, is not nearly as accessible for the mass market consumer as Mass Effect 2, which is basically the Call of Duty of RPGs - right down to the cheesy, pathetic story and the linear corridor shooting.
And I bet while almost everyone who has played and voted for Dark Souls also has played Mass Effect 2, most people who played and voted for Mass Effect 2 haven't even touched Dark Souls, and therefore are unable to properly judge it.
The real story here is that Dark Souls actually managed to get this far and I have a feeling that videogame history will deem Dark Souls the far more important game when looking back at it in a few years.
True, I should at least be happy to see that many people really appreciate how good that game is. Not saying Mass Effect is bad though, it is a great game. I just have a soft spot for the Soul's series.
Mass Effect doesn't deserve to win this. God dammit you guys. Don't make a mistake. Most people that vote for Mass Effect haven't even touched Dark Souls.
