Most Anticipated Games of E3 2010 (that weren't there)

Granted this is sadly too late, but seeing as all but one of these games were actually there, my theme is games that fans were excited and hopeful to see, but were absent in attendance.

List items

  • WILL THIS GAME EVER COME OUT? What can one say about Half Life 2: Episode 3? The previous installment being one of the greatest games of all time with great story that sucks you in, and one of the most haunting endings to game ever (Ep2). When I saw Portal 2 I got pretty excited and thought maybe, just maybe this will be there too, WILL YOU HEAR MY CRIES GABE NEWELL? He did, and then didn't care.

  • Once again, now that FXIII came out a few months ago I got excited thinking this one, which easily from trailers looks a hell of a lot more interesting than FFXIII was with its so-linear-its-not-really-an-RPG aesthetic. Also having an action game in the vain of Kingdom Hearts in an actual Final Fantasy game looks great not to mention the much darker tone and first ever M Rating for the series. But God hates me so, it was not there.

    Disappointment Rating 4/5

  • Well, since I couldn't find Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Giant Bomb this will have to do. Apparently Tetsuya Nomura is too busy making 3DS non-port of the original KH to be working on this, but who really wants another game in the vain of KH: Chain of Memories instead of a full third game? Once again, not at E3.

  • When the original trailer for this game came out, something before E3 2009, I got really excited. A giant disaster of some unknown proportion has taken out Chicago, and everyone is left to fend for themselves and where water is the most precious commodity that others would kill or be killed for its possession. A trailer did surface by the end of the show, but nothing else. A post apocalyptic game that finally isn't all about shooting the crap out of everything (see Fallout 3, Borderlands, Rage, etc)
