Picked this game up today and so far it seams like a good one.
Considering I can't play Diablo 3 as my PC can't take the pace this is shaping up to be good alternative. Not tried the on-line play yet and it seams that the Square site is having some issues at the moment so could register and link my game but am sure this will sort itself in a day or two.
The only thing I am not sure about so far is the Gunslinger class. Because of the size of the screen enemy's spawn quite close to you so ranged attacking isn't always an option. However the close rang attack is powerful so it hasn't been a huge problem so far. My character is currently level 15 and the completion shows 32% so there is still a ways to go. Am interested to see how the replay-ability works.
In summation I am enjoying the ride so far and surely that is all that matters.
You seem to be over analysing it so far. Just play the game, see where it leads you. The interface, controls and starting benefits have been severly upgraded through the years anyway, however bad you think it, it was worse and you should enjoy what you get! Try to have fun!^^
It maybe seam like that as I am writing stuff down as I come across it so it may be a little disjointed. That said constructive comments are always welcome.
