The September Line-Up Will Kill My Wallet

Last month was pretty dull when it came to game releases (not including the massive surge of XBLA games), however, this month is going to more than make up for that, as there is a large selection of games being released/ thathave been released that I'm interested in. The main ones that I'm planning on buying are:

Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen

I'll say it right now: I've never played a Dragon Quest game before, although I've heard from many people that it's a great series, and the 4th one was an incredibly enjoyable game, and now that this remake is coming, it's a great way to get into the series. Or at least, that's what I think.

Release Date
US: September 16, 2008
Europe: September 12, 2008

Am I the only one who had a crush on Rydia?

Final Fantasy IV

I remember being dead set on importing this back when it was revealed that Europe would have to wait until September to get it, although that didn't happen. Now that it's been released, I plan on getting it as soon as possible, as I really enjoyed the game when I played it (it was a part of the FF Anthology, which featured the original difficulty, I think). I'm looking forward to the 3D environments and hearing the remade Theme of Love in-game, as well playing through an enhanced version of a story which I enjoyed a great deal in the past.

Did someone just say "real-time"?

Infinite Undiscovery

I've been interested in this ever since I first heard of it. I'm a fan of tri-Ace's works, and their approach to how this game plays out sparked my interest. Sure, the reviews for it so far haven't been that good, but the main things they point out that detract from the game's satisfaction are things I was prepared for after seeing gameplay videos and trailers (i.e slowdown and pretty annoying voice-acting), so I plan on sticking with my own opinions of how the game looks. I'll most likely order this tomorrow, so we'll see how things pan out, although I have a feeling that I will enjoy it.

Release Date
US: September 2, 2008
Europe: September 5, 2008

Kirby: Super Star Ultra

Much like Dragon Quest, I've never played a Kirby game before (oh god, this won't end well), and much like Dragon Quest (once again), I've heard that Kirby Super Star was one of the best games in the series, so this enhanced port'll be a great way to get into the series.

Release Date
US: September 22, 2008
Europe: TBA (Importin' time!)

Here I was, worried in-case it would be easy

Mega Man 9

Ah, Mega Man, the series that's incredibly frustrating yet incredibly hard to hate. I was surprised when Capcom announced this and showed us that they would stick to the 8-Bit style of the old Mega Man games. I still believe that this was an incredibly good idea, even more so as it takes great features from previous Mega Man games and then adds them to the playstyle of Mega Man 2, a game that I enjoyed a lot. Seems like they're not holding back on the difficulty level either, which is good (or bad, depending on who's playing it).

Release Date

US: September 24, 2008
Europe: TBA (Guess I'll be using my American account)

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure

I'm a massive Nippon Ichi fan (if you couldn't tell already), and Rhapsody is a game I missed out on, as it was never released in Europe, much to my dismay. Now that the remake is coming out this month, I pretty much have no choice other than to get it. I've heard that the difficulty level was rather low, which is somewhat dissapointing, but I guess it doesn't matter much, as long as the game can still be enjoyed.

Release Date
US: September 23, 2008
Europe: Is it even being release here? If not, IMPORT TIME!

A Sonic RPG? Madness!
A Sonic RPG? Madness!
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood

The Sonic franchise has been bludgeoned with a baseball bat for a good amount of years now. I had lost all hope for it, really, that is, until Bioware announced that they'd be making a Sonic RPG. Normally, I'd say "Oh, we'll see what happens", however, this is Bioware after all, so I trust that they'll be able to pull this off relatively well. Sure, it won't be like the Sonic of old, but hey, at least it's a start!

Release Date
US: September 30, 2008
Europe: September 26, 2008

However, that's not all, as there are other games being released that I plan on purchasing, such as Lock's Quest: Construction Combat an Wario Land: Shake It!/The Shake Dimension.

Anyone want to lend me some money?

You are not the only one that had some kind of crush on Rydia. I was probably as old as her character growing up when I got the game.
Thanks for reminding me of Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen. I also want Mega Man 9 and Infinite Undiscovery. I already have FF IV DS.

I'll probably get Sonic Chronicles and Infinite Undiscovery right away. I really want FF4DS and Kirby as well, but I'll hold out for a bit since I've already played the originals.

Mega Man 9 is the only one I can get because I don't have a DS, but I'm definitely getting it. I would get Final Fantasy IV if I did have a DS.

I might get Wario Land: Shake It! but that's highly unlikely.

I'd make the argument that you shouldn't blow your cash on half of those...

... but I'd just be a hypocrite, given some of my past purchases.
