I was so sorry to hear this news. My condolences to everyone effected Patrick. Take all the time you need to get through this. But I hope it doesn't take too long, because without your infectious laugh and always fresh point of view, the podcast and a lot of the content on the site won't be the same. Once again, my condolences.
I'm planning on getting around to playing The Witcher 2 pretty soon here after I have finished my exams for this year. And I've just been wondering what the pros and cons are for using either the mouse and keyboard for play or the controller. And which do you guys recommend?
There are only a couple of games I would want to port over (P3P, FF: Crisis Core) but if I have to pay exponential amounts of money to do that then I just won't. The convenience of not having to find my PSP when I want to play those games is not worth my very limited money.
@pepsimaxofborg: Your missing the point. For certain people (Obviously not you) this may have been the thing that tipped them over the edge to buying the game at launch. Just because you don't find the addition valuable doesn't mean no one else will.
The point is they promised people something that they didn't deliver on. Now all these people are getting as reconciliation is the ability to pay for extra content maybe a week early, instead of it being free. Free stuff vs not having to wait an extra week to buy more stuff is pretty obvious.
crappy tack-on, end of story. Diablo is a bout hordes of enemies, loot, and massive bosses. This is neither of those things.
You can't say that till you've played it. You never know, this could be a really fun addition/distraction from all of the enemies, loot and massive bosses!
@beetrootjam: Have you never run into those moments in Uncharted where you doing something epic like running and gunning down a moving train. The tension is high and it's a really awesome moment and then you miss jump and go flying off the train.
In my opinion that happening completely ruins the moment for me and I am instantly aware that I am playing a video game again.
Well it's good to know the issue isn't just me but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. The video works fine on my laptop but I don't want to watch the videos on that tiny screen.
I have been using the HTML 5 video player since it was implemented into the site. While sometimes isn't the most reliable player due to bugs, I still use it.
Very recently though I have been starting to get this problem on around about half the quick looks I watch which I assume is a frame rate problem, but I really am not sure. The most recent example of my problem is I managed to get 46 minutes into the Rage Quick Look without a single problem. But around that point the video starts stopping and starting around every two seconds. I've found it has nothing to do with my internet connection and while playing the video I am barely using 2gb of my possible 8gb of RAM and the processors are going at around 20%.
If anyone is having a similar issue or there is a possible fix that would be great.
