How do you switch to the black theme?

At the top right of almost any page on Giant Bomb there is your icon, your name, your inbox status and two 'A's. One A is black on a white background. This A is not your friend. Accept no candy from him. Do not return his calls. For the love of all that is good and sacred on this earth, do not invite him into your home.

The other A is a white A on a black background. He will protect you from his evil Bizarro-world counterpart. Embrace him. (Or you know, click on him, same thing.)

Congrats Patrick! One step closer to that elusive 21 (I kid, I kid :P). But in all seriousness, I hope you get some great free stuff.

I'm not looking forward to like 95% of console owners not bothering at all and 5% buying some but 95% of PC owners not bothering and the rest grabbing a trainer (or a hex editor, just don't let Vinny show you how to get one) and EA pointing their finger and going 'See! Piracy! This is why we want to stop giving you PC players nice things!'

I haven't played this game, but I knew I wasn't going to (just can't stomach another epic jrpg right now, prolly won't for a few years) so I read the thread, unafraid of spoilers.

It kind of sounds like Ni No Kuni went the way of Far Cry 3 a bit, where they tossed out Vaas and brought in some guy in a suit (whose name I can't even remember because he didn't get a subtitle on the game) and we were supposed to give a damn. That was annoying and somewhat jarring in Far Cry 3, but something like that must be almost will-shattering (I didn't want to say heart breaking because of the game thing) in a jrpg.

If I ever do pick this game up, maybe I'll just turn it off after Shadaar.

I bought my 360 so I could pick up a lawnmower in Dead Rising and place it on a zombie! I regret nothing! (Well, except for the part where the 360 died the first week, oddly enough not a RROD though, some sort of harddrive failure and I had to do the Zombie Genocider a second time to unlock the megabuster because they couldn't save my saves :( that kind of sucked)

I did really enjoy that game though.

I usually buy the first game, get about an hour in before the 'outdated' controls and handling drive me insane and then look the story up on wikipedia before playing the latest game.

Seriously, it's incredible how many tiny little touches can change in even a short time.

Hmm, denying (both by you or by the nearby jungle spots), courier manipulation, and killing vegetation to get yourself a nice creep funnel are probably some things you should check up on. My friend goes on endlessly about how those are crucial for the early game (and thus influencing the rest).

I don't view it as wasted time because, c'mon, who didn't feel upset when some dude with a giant katana skewered the protagonist's girlfriend?

Actually, I was so glad when she died. God she was awful.

But in other news, I think you should continue talking with your therapist about cutting back on the game buying. If you aren't going to play them all, slowing the intake can be a good thing. Maybe think about some restrictions like games you will only want to play with your friends. That way you can still enjoy games, but you're also keeping up with hanging out with them as much as you have been, both of which can be benefitial. I wish you luck on your new era of lifestyle.
