" After playing this game for four or five straight hours, I really have no idea what these reviewers who gave it awful scores are talking about. In that entire time I didn't experience a single bug, or at least not any that were large enough for me to notice. AI can act a bit stupidly at times, but nothing that's at all gamebreaking. The way dialogue is handled is effin' brilliant and feels really natural. The story is pretty awesome and on par with something like the Bourne series. The one thing that seems to get harped on big time is the combat, and I think I know why. What people seem to be forgetting is this is an RPG first and foremost, and with that in mind, the combat makes sense. If you're expecting the combat to be like other third-person cover-based shooters you're going to be disappointed for sure. Jeff's guilty of this kind of thing from what I saw in the quick look. He was spec'd for stealth, yet goes barreling into a room full of enemies like he was a commando. I think you'd be justified in calling this game broken if you DIDN'T die in that situation, not the other way around. If you keep missing with your preferred weapon, sink skill points into it and you're set. I'm six levels deep with assault rifles and they're pretty accurate now, and nearly a one-shot kill if I let the reticle get all the way down in size before firing. It may be worth noting I'm playing this on the PC with an Xbox 360 wireless controller. With all the graphical settings maxed, this game looks pretty great. Not up to ME2 standards, but nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. "
Most reviewers must be playing the 360 version since I've had no mid-level/mid-dialog loading screens, no hovering enemies, no popins that I've noticed and not really any bugs in general.
I really wonder if people would bitch this much about it not playing like *insert generic FPS* if Deus Ex was released today.. Using a sniper with low skill was like being drunk and sprinting in that game.
Also Sterling is a troll that shouldn't be taken seriously, you just have to read some of the shit he writes in the comments or his articles to realize that.
