Yeah I kind of agree and I kind of disagree. I really like what these guys do most of the time, and I think they always have the best of intentions. The problem is that they have literally been in their own box for so long I feel like it has kind of skewed their thoughts and journalistic integrity on some games. I really feel like it would benefit them to get another person with different perspectives and maybe even a different philosophy about game reviewing and game criticism. When you stay in your bubble for too long it's hard to know when you might be crossing the line, and it can also get stale. I have said for a while that they desperately need some fresh blood in the office.

I strongly, albiet respectfully, disagree. Part of what makes GB interesting is that they have their own perspective. I like that they take gaming as a medium a bit more seriously than other sites, and sometimes that means they can be harder on games because of it (Which a lot of people tend to construe as "negativity.") If anything, I want more of the core GB crew. I want to see Jeff, Ryan, and Vinny doing more quick looks (And frankly, less Patrick, which isn't to say I have a problem with him, but it's like he's on every damn quick look.) If they need to bring in more staff so that these guys can put themselves out there more, then that's what I want.

Sites like IGN and Gamespot have a constant churn of new people and old standbys. I don't go to these sites because they haven't got a voice like GB has. I understand GB and I appreciate its perspective, even if I don't always agree with it.

I think you are just misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm not saying they need to change the way they do or think about things, but the site has grown so much since the beginning that it's kind of crazy how they have stayed the same size. Not only will adding more people give another personality to play off of, but it will also potentially free up the guys we already know and love to do more awesome crazy content. If you want to see more Jeff, Ryan, and Vinny doing more QL, then you want more people to be hired to do some of the mundane stuff that these guys have to do. The fact is these guys only have so much time and they can only do so much, so hiring a couple more people would free up the guys to do more crazy stuff.

For instance, if you hire more guys that know the video side of things, that can free up Vinny to do more on camera stuff. I want more of the GB crew as well, but realistically the only way we are going to get that is if some of their responsibilities are handed of to someone else so they can do more QL and ERs and all the crazy random videos that we love.

Wow, that's pretty stupid. Why wouldn't they just put as much content in there as possible. Well I guess we shouldn't be too surprised, it's not like anyone's done right by a Tony Hawk game for years, why should this be different.

I built my PC a year ago for about $800 and can run pretty much everything at max settings. The key is to do a shit ton of research about pricing compared to power at the exact time you are making your PC and you will get a good deal. I got a lot of my parts on a 1-day sale or weekend sale at Newegg. The actual cost of the PC I have was probably $1200, but when I bought different things together I got way better deals.

I have a 20" Samsung Monitor, Sandy Bridge i7, GTX 560Ti (this was not the latest and greatest when I bought it, and the only game that took a frame rate hit was Skyrim when I installed a shit ton of mods), 1TB storage, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, and a MB with dual DVI and like 10 USB ports including 3 USB 3.0 ports.

Anyone who says buying a PC can be as cheap as buying a console is an idiot, but your Xbox isn't going to satisfy all of your computing needs. So if you're going to buy a computer, you might as well make one for $800 and then you can run pretty much anything and it will look better than its console counter part.

I don't want to offend you, but the way you say "BATMAAN!" a bunch, and then call it "adorable" makes you sound like a 10 year old girl interested in barbie dolls and Justin Bieber rather than someone who understands fiction in any detailed way.

The ridiculousness of Batman is one of the strengths of Batman. No one takes him seriously until he fucks your shit up. You see it all the time int the movies, games, and comics for most super heroes. There are always thugs or everyday people saying things like, "Did you hear? There's some crazy person dressing up as a (insert super hero costume here) while stopping criminals." The interesting dichotomy of many comic-book super heroes is their ridiculous choice look out of place while being called some insane, laughably stupid name while then proceeding to be complete bad asses.

There is a HUGE difference between Batman and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Where Abraham Lincoln is over the top for the sake of being over the top, Batman has a purposeful play on the seeming insanity of his costume and name. In the same way, the Joker uses that same principal of seeming insane (in fact, he actually probably is insane) to his advantage by being unpredictable and all the more dangerous than any "normal" "sane" villain would be.

Even with all this, there are some parts of the whole super hero thing that are sort of odd and laughable, but that's why we suspend our disbelief when watching fiction of all kinds.

I never go see films I want to see opening night because fuck people. If I'm going to spend the money to see it in a theater I don't want my experience interrupted by assholes, children, or morons. I usually wait a week or so until there aren't that many people going to see it anymore.

I had a dream when I was really young that I still remember to this day.

I was having a birthday party at my house, and there were kids everywhere doing random birthday party kid things, when suddenly out of nowhere, a bear appeared. Everyone started freaking out and the next thing I know, everyone has disappeared but me. So I started to run into my house screaming for help, but everyone was frozen. I was yelling at my dad to get the shotgun so he could kill the bear (my dad is a pretty avid hunter), but he just stood there frozen in time. There was like some time bubble where only me and the bear existed. I have no idea where to go, or where to hide, so I just run into my room and onto my bed. The bear comes running in, jumps right for me, and...BAM! I'm awake.

Edit: Also, I couldn't help myself:

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

I haven't decided if I'm going to vote or not, which pretty much means I'm probably not going to vote. Too much of a hassle to register and then waste gas driving to a place so I can wait in line and cast a vote insignificant not only relative to the entire country, but relative to my state that will always be blue. So unless I get enough money to net a positive from both my time and gas investment, I don't think I'll be voting.
