More people need a play Amnesia Rebirth . Frictional Games are quietly the best horror Devs in gaming. The stories and worlds they put you in on a small budget is insane . I'm happy for Supergiant though!

Big agree. Rebirth seemed to make less of an impact than The Dark Descent and SOMA, but it's still full of inventive mechanics that go a long way toward making the world feel real (matches, finding shade from the sun)

A lot of people seem negative on this because of the delays, but I'm pretty sure this will be one of the nice surprises.

Damn. I was unsure about if I'd want to check this out, I gotta remember to have more faith in Naughty Dog.

I'm really hoping his new project is a horror game. It sounds like him and del Toro had some great ideas cooked up.

@havochq: Campaign of hate? Against whom? I get the impresson you're talking about the criticism that some of these very public figures have received, and it's precisely that kind of language that makes any kind of common ground impossible to find.

Also, who are you even talking about? Who has been campaigned against? And by whom?

(My account is not new. I have been a Premium subscriber for months. Not that it should matter one way or the other; if your argument relies entirely on how well you know someone, then it's not very effective)

There's "criticism," and then there's doxing and death/rape/bombing/mass shooting threats.

Whenever this situation gets portrayed as something between two sides, it draws attention away from the fact that it's about a group of harassers VS their victims. That's not two equal yet opposite sides of an argument, and shouldn't be referred to as such.

It's telling that SXSW is using that language; they're willfully ignoring readily accessible information (the birth of gamergate from an ex-boyfriend's revenge post, their documented harassment of women in the games industry) and trying to portray themselves as neutral. In reality, they're somewhat like school administrators who see a bully beat up a classmate and decide to expel them both.

Given how this situation was handled (the panel wasn't even directly about GG!), I doubt the management even knows what GamerGate is. To an outsider, those panel titles do not sound controversial at all.
