PC - The characters, the multiple moral choices and methods to do things, geographical locales, the gorgeous soundtrack, artwork, voice acting, writing (including much humor)... Wow. You can even play it multiplayer with friends! It also doesn't hurt that you can import your character from the first BG game and the add-on.
I adored the fights with the dragons. They were mega tough compared to the dragons in most RPGs. Brillant fun.
SNES/GBA - To me, only the fourth game in the Final Fantasy series has come close to this monumental achievement. (Though IX & VII were mega fun.)
The character designs, monsters, locales, story, and the incredible musical score. I've never enjoyed a Final Fantasy game as much as I did this one.

Genesis - One of a rare few that proved that there were great RPGs to be found on Sega's 16-bit console.

PC - Takes the best parts of Bond, Austin Powers, and The Avengers, and combines them into a game that is hilarious and just plain fun.
PC - Thank goodness for fan patches, or I never would have played this incredible title.

PC - This was a tough choice, given that the sequel is also an excellent game. In the end, I went with the first Fallout, as it is not as annoyingly long. I like the simplicity of the first title; it has just what it needs, and gets the job done.
PC - The best of the King's Quest series. Multiple paths for certain things, a great story, and interesting settings.
PC - I really enjoyed the storyline, and the combination of RPG and RTS was a blast, and I loved the characters. Who didn't have a manly tear come to their eye at the end of a certain campaign? You know the one I mean. No, I'm not referring to the humans.

PC - Perfectly fine with fan patches, and the combat is improved over the first.
PS1 - The first time I played through this was on my Sega CDX console and I was blown away. While I adore the original, I have to give props to the PSone/Saturn versions for taking things even further, even if they're a bit easier.
PC - My favorite space flight sim. At the time, the game felt so free and open.
PS3 - The game that makes you feel like you're Batman. Thankfully, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are present.
PC - So much to do, and so many ways to do it. Warrior, thief, mage, archer, or a combination of them all. I'm so glad they included the ability to become a vampire, as they did in Morrowind. Like every other game from Bethesda, it was quite buggy. Fan patches save the day once again!
PS1 - Superb, but to be quite honest, not very replayable.
PC - The first time I felt like a Jedi. Multiplayer was excellent.

NES - I still prefer the NES version to the Rearmed remakes. You can punch the enemies backward with your arm in this, and I like the music in the NES version more. If God wanted Rad Spencer to jump, He wouldn't have given him a bionic arm. Seriously though, this is a fabulous game.
PS1/PC - I really wish Square Enix would get with the program and remake this game. Of course, they don't want guaranteed money.

PC - There were two "Mech" games that I loved during the '90s, this game and EarthSiege 2. MW2 had multiplayer.

PS3 - Not the bad game that many made it out to be and the patches fixed the majority of the bugs. (At least, I never encountered any.) The dramatic use of force powers and light sabers make this title quite the ride.

PS3 - I love the vast selection of cars available to collect and tune to your liking. Sure the Forza series is better in some areas but GT5 is still an impressive title. If I had to pick a negative, it would be the whole standard and premium cars thing, with their difference in texture quality.

PC - More than almost any other game, this was responsible for PC system upgrades/purchases. Intel must have loved Origin for giving people even more incentive to buy Pentium chips.
