I've seen kids playing theirs at malls every now and then. The only other instance I can think of was when I was visiting the UK last month - I was on a coach to Bristol from Cardiff and there was a man in a Chicago Bulls cap playing something on a 2DS. I think I racked up more streetpasses in the three weeks I was in the UK than I have the entire rest of the time I've owned a 3DS.
Personally, I don't really play it when I'm out, but if I'm out I'm either driving or with someone, so I don't have much occasion to.
I don't know if they had a name, but I liked the little team of freedom fighters that Link occasionally hung out with in Twilight Princess. It was kind of refreshing to see a version of Hyrule where someone other than Link got some shit done.
I remember it having a couple of funny moments, but overall I thought it was pretty bad. I even like a lot of dumb comedies, but this one was dumb way beyond funny.
Overall, for consistency and quality in the acting and writing, I'd probably have to go with the bulk of the Legacy of Kain games. Soul Reaver 2 performs especially well here, for me.
For the best moment in voice acting, I'd actually go with Mark Meer (BroShep) in some of the final moments of Mass Effect 3. Spoilage: From Anderson's quiet death scene, and through the conversation with Admiral Hackett when Shepard asks, "What do you need me to do?" and he sounds so tired and seems to wish he could just lie down and die beside his friend. One of the moments I think Meer actually outshines Jennifer Hale's performance.
