So, something I am still a little confused about after listening. Do you have the ability to completely re-spec your character at any point in the game?

sounds like it yeah ... and i think i remember something like that being mentioned in one of the trailers too. i assume you'll have to go to someone and it may have a cost to it, but the option is always a good one to have i think

Watching that boss battle was painful. They kept using Heal Beam and Cure2, completely neglecting the fact that they have Cure Wave.

They don't seem to remember about the Dual Tech's at all.

it's weird, ryan wanted to swap brono back in to see if he had any healing dual techs ... when bobo and brog together already have an amazing one.

Just finished up the podcast ... phew. Good talk, love to hear it. The only odd things - based purely on listening, not my own opinion - was how LA Noire got on the list when they seemed mostly down on it and more positive about other games. And everyone apart from Brad seemed like they wanted SR3 over Skyrim.

But whatever - the whole process is really fucking weird if you think about it.

Ungodly amount of quality content really - this dead week between Christmas and NY is always better for it. Barely glanced at anyone else's end-of-year stuff to be honest.

@SamDrugbringer: because apparently everyone is a super-amazing expert game player who loves to explain in the comments how exactly the people are playing the game 'wrong' - where wrong means, not following with strict, unwavering precision the most efficient way of approaching every situation. and not playing like this is obvious stuff which should be instinctual.

and when the idea of playing it wrong comes around, i think the idea follows that if someone is playing a game wrong they must be setting themselves up for failure. whereas, actually, most situations and bosses have a fairly decent room for 'error' and can be muddled through without too much trouble as long as the players don't over-stretch themselves, skimp on healing or keep trying something which isn't working.

then everyone is shocked and amazed when the players manage to get through the fight, which seemed impossible because they were playing it so goddamn wrong it seemed to cause physical pain and mental outrage
