This trailer reminds me that not all games need voice acting..

But I'm sure it was a fun thing to do and not holding anything against Dan for doing it. Based on the trailer though, going the semi-celebrity route in the voice acting just isn't doing the game any favors.

Lol, a lot of speculation based on 2 letters :p

And Nintendo would rather just go full 3th party I think, much more money in that.

It's the way forward, but I doubt we'll get more than 1 upgraded console per generation. 4 years from now we'll get a real new console which probably plays the old games, but where the new games no longer has to work with the older systems.

Probably a little bit from column A and a little bit from Column B. Considering everything points to a release this year I don't think they can or will change the specs of the thing greatly. Scorpio will be more powerful, but also come out a year later and be more expensive, so I doubt it's that big of a deal.

But they are probably looking at the options at least. Announcing it now would mean to lock down the specs, if they wait a while they can find out if it's worth the investment to upgrade it somehow. And focusing on just the games was a also a pretty good strategy it seems, so that probably also counted for something.

As a History major specializing in the use and misuse of history in the media (though primarily film and television), let me say that the case of Battlefield 1 is certainly interesting. They are taking many creative licenses that's for sure and are basically are creating a spiced up version of WW1 with a much more dynamic battlefield.

That being said, it really doesn't bother me. I never expected EA to completely change the gameplay of one of their flagship titles to accommodate for how differently WW1 was fought and they have been honest from the start about not going for a realistic portrayal of the War. In my opinion the titles selling themselves as an historically accurate portrayal, while at the same time taking huge liberties with the source material without informing the audience, is a much bigger problem, since these are the titles that really form the broad historical interpretation.

So while it would be cool to have a high budget realistic WW1 game, I'm not going to fault EA for not making that.

Yeah, they really have had an almost perfect format ever since they started commenting over the press conferences.

So there really isn't much to say, great work as always guys. You made E3 10 times better. This year also felt particularly emotional in some ways, which was also pretty great. GB is a family in a lot of ways, and it's going pretty good.

Yes! I was ready to completely write off another GOW, but they really did something new and interesting to a series that has pretty much been the same for six games. Props to em!

Anybody thinking they will be able to build any form of decent shelter without their legs are completely kidding themselves. Your ability to move to actually find branches, your general vertically and just trying to stay upright with one arm while building with the other, will all be super limited.

So basically you aren't going to be building anything of note. Maybe you'll get a sled of some sort to move around and start a fire if you have the materials close by, but that's about it. Much better to have legs, so you can move around and find food, shelter and hopefully signs of civilization.

@jsnyder82: Yeah! And hammers, and knives, and bats, and cars, and fertilizer, and crowbars, and pit bulls, and swimming pools, and clubs, and rope, and golf clubs, and wooden planks, and rat poison, and pillows, and matches, and box cutters, and scissors, and bathtubs, and electricity, and fists, and hockey sticks, and natural gas, and oceans, and alcohol, and plastic bags, and metal pipes, and screwdrivers, and sharks, and...

Let's ban guns already. Goddammit this country makes me angry sometimes.

You're right! We should also start restricting freedom of speech and religion since that seems to be a major motivator for this act!

A terrible tragedy that's going to be used to push various agendas.

The gun is just a tool for the person's goal. Hammers don't swing themselves.

Post like these are a fucking disgrace in the face of the deadlist shooting in U.S. history. How about you have some respect for the victims and keep you shitty antiquated arguments to yourself for at least a couple of days until the aren't victims whose life is still in balance after this attack?

Definitely arms. Even moving around with a sled wouldn't really be possible in the wilderness because of the uneven and if you can't move around you're definitely done for. Having no arms would suck, but you would still be able to move around to find stuff like berries and shelter and could presumably still somewhat use a stick by holding it in your armpit.
