The steam description of this game even states that you are not going to be attacked and there is no combat.
I don't know if it's the same in the US. But where i live (the Netherlands) just about everyone plays games to some extent. And it is generally accepted to be a gamer, as long as you are not obnoxious about it. My family doesn't care how long i want to play video games as long as i don't fuck up in school or at work because of it.
