I didn't get one until early/mid 2000's since I didn't have one as a child. I just called it the SNES, as a word, because it's the fastest way to say it.

Growing up I called the NES "The Nintendo" so if I would have had a SNES at the same time I most likely would have referred to it as "The Super Nintendo".

It's great seeing some games here you might not expect at first glance! For me I think it was Duke Nukem 3D. I was young and the feeling of isolation is what freaked me out.

@horseman6: You okay man? Need a hug?

Laser swords are fun, so like the last one I'll wait until it comes out on Blu-ray. Porg dude seems unnecessary to me, but I'm digging everything else.

Another thread about this? As @MindBullet said, development has gotten more expensive with large games, but the price of games hasn't changed to take that into account. (Or inflation for that matter). Ideally developers would put out more quality content to add onto the base experience, but this is something that is easy to implement and people pay for it.

Cool! What I find interesting is some of the comments commending certain members for doing great or complaining about others doing poorly. With these stats it shows those people are just bias and weren't paying attention.

In the end it's a team effort and everyone brought something unique to the table (even if that isn't reflected in stats).

As others have mentioned, Blitz and Hitz for sure. Does Burnout count? I loved the the heck out of Burnout 3.

@liquiddragon: Coraline and Kubo are both stop-motion films. They have some CG elements, but that's mostly for vfx.

I'm more impressed with 2d animation, but I can still definitely appreciate 3d animation as well. I'm more interested in subject matter over style.

There was point in my life where I consumed every single piece of content the day it was released. It was a "right place, right time" kind of thing. There have been a lot of changes since then.

I always listen to the podcasts, as I have a long commute, but don't watch videos nearly as much anymore. I will always love GB.

I don't know about availability on the consoles you have, but my wife and I played a lot of Battleblock Theater and Rayman Legends.

We also trade the controller back and forth with the Crash remake, but that's only because she has nostalgia for that game.

I've been in the industry for about four years as an animator. I've worked on games that have been released and games that have been canned! I haven't made a game on my own, but would definitely like to someday.
