Regarding the DLC fiasco: Would you rather have an a plethora of optional new content that extends your RP choices, or, would you prefer a full (seperate) game that provides all of the content on the same engine and appearance?
I, for one, am grateful to see DLCs that offer additional content at my discretion. Non-essential content is what keeps many people coming back. Although, no DLC has the ability to keep people playing for months, it reminds them that there are still new things to explore in a world they once thought was safe to raise their kids in.
I do agree that some DLC release timings (coupled with prices) have been a bit ridiculous. If the developer releases a DLC soon after the original game is released, I would speak on behalf of the "Make this a content update" party.
I'm sure this DLC has some major plot points that will intrigue all the Shepards out there as they scan the interwebs looking for ME3 updates, but I doubt any major information will be overlooked during the initial hours of ME3 gameplay.
That being said, I will eventually purchase this DLC during the months to come when I find myself looking for a new addiction.
