My gaming goals as of 29/11/2009

I did two blogs on my gaming goals in 2008, but when I looked back at them, I noticed that I hadn't really fulfilled any of the goals on there, and more had joined the fray. So I'm gonna compile a new list. Here goes.

A small list of the things I want to get done. :p Hope you enjoyed reading (even though it isn't all that inspired). There are some more outlandish goals coming up (like beating every franchise that I have the full set of games for again. (Like the four Halo games, for instance.)

Cool to see other people actually do this kind of crap. :P

I've made another list similar to this recently, although it's more to do with classic games rather than recent ones as I don't have enough cash to keep up with all recent releases, particularly with the prices in Australia. I basically have a list of games that people have brought up time and time again for being really revolutionary or just good fun, and I either go through as much of a game on the list until I feel I've seen pretty much everything it has to offer, or I beat it if it's one of those games that just has to be beaten.

The list itself is pretty embarrassing in some parts due to the titles I've neglected in the past and how quite a few are widely considered must-plays, but I'm getting through it slowly but surely.

Damn that list kind of scares me. Good luck on your goals though :D

Jesus man, your backlog is almost as big as mine, I know the pain of having one with so many games on it. GL with that, I don't think I will ever get all the way through mine.

It's refreshing to see that your ''gaming goals'' weren't all related to ''get x amount of achievement points in y game'', as is the trend nowadays.. :)

Condemned 2 s a great game, and short!

You'll be lucky if you finish six of those.

KoTOR 2 may not be quite as epic or have as good of a story (and ending) as KoTOR 1, but it is still a very, very good game that deserves to be played many times over.

You'll get through CoD4 eventually on Veteran. I did and recently I did it in MW2. Try hiding behind the go kart thing on that Ferris wheel level. It's the easiest way in my opinion.

You can just skip over FF12 and FEAR 2, you're not missing much.

Same with Fable II.

Seems the only thing you get around to doing is using the phrase "something I've never gotten around to doing." :P

True. :p I wish I had more time to dedicate to video games, but sadly, life is more complicated than simply being able to do whatever you feel like. So I end up making lists of stuff that I'd like to do in video games. :p

Admirable.  Good luck, especially with the upper-difficulty gos.  And if you get Mile High Club on COD4, you'll wear that achievement like a Medal of Honor.  I know I do.  That was me at my gaming best.

If you want to take on some more L4D on higher difficulties, hit me up.

No, he goes by the 29-month calendar.  I guess the date would be Vigenseptember 11th.

@Dalai: To me, putting the day first just seems more natural. Sue me. :p

@EpicSteve: Yeah, sure. What's your gamertag? I only have the game on XBOX 360, so if you're a PC player, I  can't play with you.

If you beat Devil May Cry on that difficulty you are a God. I used to love doing that kind of stuff! Sadly, my skills are no longer up to par. :(

I actually find the Devil May Cry series to be rather easy games. I thought beating Devil May Cry 3 on Dante Must Die difficulty was easy as pie, and Devil May Cry 4 is about the same difficulty--well, aside from the plant dudes whom you can't adequately stun in order to prevent them from attacking you. And the first Devil May Cry isn't that hard either. I would've beaten those games on the highest difficulty a long time ago, but got distracted by something, like always.

There is one game that I consider to be genuinely difficult: Shinobi. I'm on the third stage or something, and that game is raping me hard. :(

@dudacles: That's insane man, I didn't find DMC 1 or 2 too bad, but 3 and 4 kicked my ass, badly. And I agree, Shinobi is incredibly difficult. I got about halfway through that game and it go so tough that I just quit, even though I enjoyed it! Haven't been brave enough to try Nightshade.
