@Marcsman: motorstorm 3d rift

@Sin4profit: that's exactly right. I felt I was focusing on things in the map a lot more and trying to process too much. The HUD, messages that pop-up, and the sights of guns are very distracting in 3D - because it either pops out or looks further away. The RDS in black ops 1 was totally messed up in 3D, the red dot was like further away from the sight itself, so it made it harder to aim.

And yes, I feel that in a slower paced game the 3D would add a sense of immersion without getting in the way like it does in fast-paced games.

Black Ops for PS3 already had this. I used it once and got owned, for the exact reason you already stated. The effect makes it look like everything has some type of movement and it's much harder to spot people. The 3D itself was decent enough, but very distracting in the fast-paced world of COD.

Do you think 3D would work better in racing games?

It definitely does, Motorstorm and Gran Turismo 5 looks amazing in 3D. It definitely feels more... real. But, again, it still can be distracting - it feels like there's a lot more to process when everything is in 3D, and because it's not perfect. Even with its negatives though, it made Motorstorm a lot more interesting.

In my opinion, D3 is fucking amazing. It's just simply... fun to play. The games graphics are good, but its art is mind-blowing. This is the most fun I've had with a game in a very long time actually. So that's my opinion, and you have yours. But, since you like to make threads about your opinion, I'll give you commentary on it: it sounds like your not giving it a chance. You hate every aspect of the game... dude chillax.
