I would really like to work on the numbers side of the industry - possibly something like financial strategy / analysis. No idea what kind of work there is like that in the industry or how to get to it, though...
The plan my friends and I are following is to basically skip alternate planets - doing only the class-plot missions on every other world. That way we should be reasonably-levelled for the vast majority of the content we experience, and we still have basically half of the total content in the world yet to do. So later, when we re-roll to enjoy another class plot, we have new content to enjoy. Otherwise, there is a problem that if you want to play, say, a Sith Inquisitor and an Imperial Agent, you'll be redoing a hell of a lot of content. Which is how it is in most MMOs, but in this one it isn't.
I'd probably shave for the interview, and then if/when you get the job, find out if you can have a beard. If you can't bring yourself to do that, then make sure your beard looks neat - trim it to a constant length, and shave around the neckline so that it's neat and well-defined. Brush it with a comb so that it's not messy.
You need to look presentable - which doesn't necessarily mean clean-shaven. But if you go in with a beard, make absolutely sure it's well-groomed.
What I did was get a haircut (I had shoulder-length hair at Uni) and go clean-shaven, then once I got in I grew a beard on holiday and came back with it. If it had been a problem, I would have shaved it, but it wasn't.
So I recently managed to drop my Galaxy S2 on a hard floor and the screen's broken. The rest of the phone seems to work (not sure, though, given that I can't see what's going on). Does anyone happen to know of a good place to get it fixed? I got it SIM-free off-contract, so I can't send it back to the carrier. I've emailed Samsung about it but I expect they will be both slow and expensive, so if any of you duders living in London know of a good place that do quick &/or cheap repairs for smartphones, let me know.
I went to see The Incredibles with my family when I was 14. We weren't expecting anything (not knowing anything at all about it before going, we just decided to go to see a film one evening). I absolutely loved every second of that film. Still do.
People may want to search around on www.leaguecraft.com or do a google search. There are, iirc, a few guides like this knocking around already. Problem is, the game changes month to month, so anything beyond the very basics gets outdated a few months down the line.
But yes, it's a good idea even if there are others! MOBAs are great fun once you get into them, so anything that smoothes out that learning curve is only a good thing.
@pornstorestiffi: Give a few episodes of Season 8-10 a go and see if it's more your speed now? I used to hate it, then I watched "Die Hippie Die" and found myself crying with laughter, so I gave the rest a go. Now, it's one of my favourite shows.
