10 Best Gamecube Games

For some reason I think the Gamecube is the best console ever. Not in general, just personally there is something about it that appealed to me and still does. It is the system I have the most games for, and if someone put a gun to my head and said I could only have one system, it'd be this! Maybe. Or maybe the 360 or PS2. I don't know. But I like the Cube a lot so shut up!

Honourable Mentions:
Pikmin series
Metal Gear Solid : Twin Snakes
Viewtiful Joe
Timesplitters 2

  • It raised the bar for action games so incredibly high that no game yet, in my opinion, has surpassed its game play. Add amazing presentation and loads of replay value and you have the number 1 reason to own a Gamecube. Almost flawless.

  • The world is rich in art and imagination. If there are any naysayers left about the graphical style, I think someone needs to do something in regards to their intelligence. Perfectly suited to this beautiful, magical world, Wind Waker really felt like a classic fairytale, a classic adventure. It took me back to the fantasy of being a child. In the end, it was just so much fun and so engrossing. My favourite Zelda game.

  • A game that for some reason is still not in my collection. However, it is the game I've rented the most, so I guess that sort of makes up for it. I'm still planning on getting a copy.

  • The most replay value on the Cube for sure. I've sank a lot of time into this game. Even to this day I still play it occasionally. The best multiplayer on the Cube hands down.

  • Come on, this game is so much fun. It looks amazing, the sense of speed is incredible and there's some fucking excruciatingly hard missions. Customizing ships was a very nice touch as well. Probably my favourite racing game of all time.

  • A really funny, entertaining game, especially for Nintendo fans. There's so much fanservice to the dedicated follower! I will forever hate my brother for scratching the game disc so badly it refused to work, right as I was up to the last level. Still need to replace it.

  • OH WHAT'S THIS? METROID AGAIN? Yeah it's pretty damn good.

  • Still the best looking Cube game, albeit with pre-rendered backgrounds this claim isn't THAT impressive from a technical standpoint. Still, the visuals I think still compete with many games that come out these days, and the core gameplay, although some people will find dated, offered a lot to people who liked to explore every nook and cranny, solve puzzles and shoot the undead.

  • It might not have been Super Mario 64, but Super Mario Sunshine was still a great game! The FLUD (or whatever it was called) was a really fun addition I found and the levels were very well designed. The visuals I thought were stunning, and I still think so now. Music is obviously great, and although you probably wouldn't play through it again, it had enough levels to last quite a while. Underrated.

  • NOT THE WII VERSION OBVIOUSLY.
