@tophar01: That's what most people have done. I think Premium is just for removing ads and maybe some benefits on Discord nowadays. I stay subscribed just for the convenience of having the whole archive hosted for me, but I have a feeling that won't last much longer.

It's funny, the subscription confirmation email still says "Check out our Latest Premium Videos, and don't forget to join us every Wednesday and Friday for Premium-exclusive streams!"

I don't think it's unreasonable or too puritan to suggest that those people who don't want to see that content, including a huge audience of children, shouldn't be exposed to it.

They put some additional tools and measures in place with the change, including not putting streams with certain tags on the front page. Their content tagging system has developed a lot recently, so as long as things are tagged properly, you shouldn't be seeing anything you don't want to, other than maybe thumbnails and stream titles in the recommendations bar down at the bottom.

The wording I saw around the original "changes" is that they weren't actually changing any rules, just rewording the policies to make it clearer what was and wasn't already allowed. So the second ruling actually made things more strict than they were originally.

This phrasing is also very strange: "Moving forward, depictions of real or fictional nudity won’t be allowed on Twitch, regardless of the medium. This restriction does not apply to Mature-rated games." Why say "regardless of the medium" if at least one medium isn't included in that? What if a game isn't rated? What if it is rated but not as Mature because the depicted nudity didn't push it that high?

You can buy porn and sex-related items on Amazon, so they're not completely against it. I'm surprised by how many people are/were complaining, like showing nipples is so much worse than showing everything but the nipples. I haven't really seen anything I wouldn't have expected to see on Twitch before any of this happened.

I've had at least a couple of instances recently where I've had people reply to me on the forum, but I haven't gotten a notification on the site. I'm also not receiving notifications for new blog posts from people I'm following. My last notification was on the 24th of November, but I think I was missing notifications before then.

I'll tag @dtoast here for what it's worth as a test.

This is actually the first question of yours I haven't been confused by.

I had an ending predicted for Game of Thrones before it was over and I still prefer that version, even if I don't hate the actual ending. Sometimes one ending is just better than another.

I can't imagine anyone not wanting Mass Effect to have a sequel. The whole point of the game is that it's the start of a story where your choices will persist.

@Snail & other cynics: [...]So far I'm slightly surprised at the responses

I'm surprised that "Why are you watching movies you don't actually want to watch?" was taken so cynically. To me, the OP's question sounds like "I compulsively watch movies, but I don't really want to. Does anyone have any ideas for fun things to do while I'm stuck watching movies?" Were they really enjoying these movies they needed to be distracted from?
