Gamergate is this weird, foreign thing to me because I seriously cannot understand why this non-issue has become this huge crazy thing. It makes it rather difficult to find out any real information from either side because it seems like the "ethics" side either has a hard time articulating what the actual issues are (developers and journalists shouldn't fraternize in any capacity?) or is hidden behind a vocal subgroup that hates women and anything else different than them.

I just hope this all comes to an end and people stop acting awful so I can play video games with voice chat that doesn't devolve into idiocy and hatred if a woman's voice is heard.

I'm going to hope for the best on this one and think of all the money Facebook has that can develop this technology. But man, all I can think of is Oculus just quietly disappearing.
