I spent years running into mahjong as a minigame in various video games and being confused and intimidated but its a surprisingly easy game to learn and now oops I can't stop playing Mahjong Soul for hours at a time.
I wrapped this up fully over the weekend and while I'm really positive on it and Cold Steel as a whole, maybe even more so than previous arcs all told, it's very frustrating to me that for all of the harem nonsense they build throughout there is basically nothing substantial to the end of that game based on who you pick. I would ultimately prefer they had not done it at all but if you ARE then at least go all in!
The harem really feels like it escalated very quickly. I was largely indifferent about it until this last game where it has made some of the bonding arcs into a bit of a bummer because unless you carefully skip around events all roads just lead to Rean. Even for all of his varying degrees of underaged students.
It hasn’t ruined anything for me but there’s just so much I know you’re better than this about the whole thing.
I cannot get into these new faces, they somehow look better and worse at the same time. And the lip syncing looks way off.
I think that's just Jeff's video. I was playing the remaster earlier and didn't notice any audio sync issues.
I think this is a fantastic looking remaster but there is absolutely some jank into the faces and audio now. They didn't redo any of the lip flaps to go along with the better models so all the voices may as well be coming out of those Johnny Gat heads for as close as it looks to someone talking.
@stanleypain: It's not "useless" unless you are using it to shit on the person in question. A reviewers experience is still ultimately singular, it is helpful to see exactly how widespread issues like that seem to be.
