I found arcade mode kind of easy...
You should learn your character's special moves, that will make the experience more enjoyable for you.

The DS will suit your needs perfectly. It has a huge variety of deep games and casual games, most of which are pretty good. You'll enjoy it!

I think Majora's Mask had the right idea. Tons of side quests and interesting puzzles!

Any game that tries to represent real world things like cloth, foliage, and... movement in general, should use a good physics system to make it more realistic and absorbing.
