Cancelled my Origin pre-order. It is not worth having to put up with such a broken service. So I instead put the money towards a Rage pre-order and the hope that one day EA will pull their head out of their ass.

Can you explain how you did that, exactly? Pre-orders on the Origin store appear to charge your credit card/PayPal for the full amount, much like a Steam pre-sale, with no refunds allowed.

So how did you work around that? Or did you just cancel the pre-order you had... IN YOUR MIND?

No, smartass. It was not "in my mind".

They make it very clear that the charge is only a way to make sure that you have the money available for the pre-order. You are not actually charged until the product is released.

To quote the email:

"Per your request, I have cancelled your order number (-------------) which includes Battlefield 3: Limited Edition. Please note that as your order was a pre-order you have not been charged for the game. If you see any charge for the game, then it's just a pre-authorization charge which will disappear from your credit card in next billing statement."

But what do I know? It was all in my mind.

I'm waiting for them to just go door to door, handing the damn things out and begging you to play it.

Looks like the fanboys got their caffeine fix today.

The first thing I did after watching the tournament was buy a copy of SFIV:AE on Steam + all of the costumes.

Help me.

This is just a reaction to the horrible shootings, I for one think its a nice thing to do, imagine you just lost your kid to mad man with a gun. Then your going to the grocery store and the fist thing that meets you is a shelf full of covers with dudes and guns.

If someone needs a game, just go somewhere else. Its just a way of showing respect.

Who the fuck would buy Call of Duty at a grocery store? This example makes no sense.

I can't feel bad about this as an early adopter. I've managed to get a ton of mileage from my 3DS and do not regret the purchase one bit. And free games? Bring 'em on!
