I went through Portal, Halo 3 and Uncharted 2 in one sitting. I also took the week off school and went from 70 to 80 in WoW within 7 sittings playing for 12 hours a day.
I'm poor right now as well. That's what I get for being in university. However, I recently sold BF: BC2 in exchange for a renewal of my Xbox Live account. Regretted it instantly.
Like RPGs? Mass Effect 2 is a great game. Like FPSs? Battlefield Company 2 will blow your mind. Like Fighters? Super Street Fighter IV is a great value for only 40 bucks.
" Listening to the old bombcast is a really unfair answer. Who has time for that? Even being a huge giant bombcast fan I wouldn't want to embark on that journey. "
Lightweight. When I started to listen to The Hotspot, I went back and listened to three years of podcasts. Mind you, I was a high school student and spending most of my time playing World of Warcraft while doing it.
It's been said about ten times in this threat, but I'll say it again: Read the review. Ratings are for people who quickly glance at game. Most of those people aren't as serious as this site's demographic. Want to compare each game? Go through the written review, see the list of pros and cons of each, and make a decision based on who you are and what you like. A silly number shouldn't be the breaking point when it comes to buying a $60 or $70 dollar game.
Congrats to all who got a key. A lot of people are getting two extra beta codes in their email today so keep an eye on this thread and there may be more throughout the evening.
It's possible that they simply feel that those playlists aren't ready to be released to the public. They might have found some gamebreaking things during the press day that needed to be fixed before 200 000 people got their hands on it. That or they want concentrated data.
Can't really get onto youtube right now because I'm blocked out by the University's network, but Corneria from Star Fox, a lot of the Pokemon music and a few tracks from the Halo 3 soundtracks come to mind when I think video game music that has a huge impact on me whenever I listen to it.
Gonna have the agree on a lot of those points. I never really got deep into Halo 3's multiplayer, only dabbled in a couple times, so I won't really have a clear opinion until I play more. I find the selection of maps very limiting and boring at it's current state, but I'm sure that'll change tomorrow when more game types come out. Fingers crossed.
