@TheSeductiveMoose: The use of former in front of Nazis was meant to suggest that today's SD isn't Nazi, instead it occupies some quasi conservative sosse position that tries its best to hide said past, but that it has Nazi roots. I have not said anything else.
@Danbo: It's not really democratic, that's for sure. But as for someone who is going to move to the UK in a matter of months, I would prefer the BNP to not have any seats in the House of Commons. Call me conservative or old-fashioned, but I prefer a parliament without holocaust deniers. But that's just a preference.
I'm not British, so don't really have a say (nor do I know that much about it). But I would say that a change would pave the way for extremist parties who now won't get seats in the House of Commons. In Sweden we got some former Nazis in parliament last year, and that probably wouldn't have happened if we had the British system. You could argue whether that's democratic or not, but from a pragmatic point of view I'd say that the current system is better.
I can't get over the fact that you don't know how tall you are. Don't mean to sound disrespectful or anything, just can't imagine how an almost adult human being doesn't know how tall he or she is.
@McShank: In your "defending Sony" fueled rage you forget that most people are angry over the fact that they only noticed all users of this possible identity/credit card theft today.
