ElectricBoogaloo
ElectricBoogaloo's last update: ElectricBoogaloo has just gotten rid of the crappy paint caricature and replaced it with a scanned image of one I drew. I did go over it and add colour in Photoshop so it still kinda looks like it's from Paint, but whatever

Hi,

My name's Richard Wakeling, or ElectricBoogaloo if you wanna go by the user name. I joined Giant Bomb in March having never really heard of the place before then - yeah, I  was under a rock - and I've basically just been using it to post up all of my reviews and the odd article in the blog. I loved Gamespot back before Jeff was fired but after that they lost credibility in my eyes so it was great to see a lot of the guys had moved over here. Giant Bomb is a refreshing take on what a professional video game site is and I love it.

But I suppose this thing is supposed to be a description of me so I may as well start by saying I've been playing games all my life. I got a NES when I was five (now 19) and the first game I ever played was the original Mario. Not a bad way to start things off. From there I got a SNES, Gameboy (and basically all the other versions upto the Advance SP), a PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PSP, PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube, DS and Wii. Not really much of a PC gamer due to being too lazy to keep upgrading and keeping up with the technology, but way back when on my first PC I was hooked on Wolfenstein 3D - now one of my favourite games.

Now I'm mainly just playing the PS3 and 360 while the Wii gathers dust. With the PSP Go news this week I did decide to dust off the old PSP and commit some time to it again - buying Patapon 2 in the process, which I love. Although now, a lot of the time, I'm playing just to write. You see, I'm an aspiring video game journalist; I currently write for a website and my local paper, although no monies comes out of it :( It does however give me plenty of experience and also some review copies - even if the games suck most of the time.

I'll cut this off here, time to get back to Halo 3!
