An amazing port if you can get used to the controls. 0

Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the GBA is without a doubt, one of the most impressive arcade ports. There is almost nothing sacrificed. You'll find all 33 fighters from the arcade version and even 3 hidden characters that were previously only found in Japanese arcades. All of the flashy pre-fight and super combo/finish animations are completely intact. Hardcore fans will notice that a few of the winning/losing poses are missing but that would be nitpicking. Sound and music is great. Although it is n...

A competent tennis game with a few faults. 0

Tennis is a game for the people. Anyone can understand it. Anyone can play it. And even if you are really bad, most everyone can still enjoy it. Sadly, the Tennis subgenre has seen a disturbing downward trend since its 16-bit heydays. And it’s not really a trend; it’s an almost complete disappearance from the scene. Super Sprint manages to smoothly recreate the arcade experience 0

Super Sprint manages to smoothly recreate the arcade experience although a lack of steering wheels hurts it to a degree      Super Sprint and its nearly identical successor Championship Sprint were shining examples of arcade top-down racing in the late 1980s. The goal was simple; race your car into first place and continue on to the next track. The NES version of Galaga is a near-flawless port of the arcade. 0

From the early glory days of arcades in the late 70s and early 80s, there are only a handful of games that went on to become legends. Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Ms. Pac Man, and of course Galaga are among the few.In case you are unfamiliar, Galaga is a space shooter in which you control a ship at the bottom and blast away at oncoming enemies. Space Shooters exploded onto (and as a result totally rejuvenated) the arcade scene in the late 1970s with the arrival of the classic Space Invaders. Obviou...

Hands down, the best wrestling game ever! 0

Nearly 25 years after its release, Pro Wrestling for the Nintendo Entertainment System is still quite possibly the best console wrestling game ever     These days it seems that Wrestling games are a dime a dozen. However, back in 1987 when the NES was just starting to pick up speed they were hard to come by. Acclaim had released Wrestlemania, but that hardly resembled wrestling and was mediocre at best. Then the guys at Nintendo quietly released what to this day is quite possibly the best wrestl...
