Are you all talking about the fight at the top of the tower, or am I confused?
Because that boss was a complete and utter pushover, and took me one try. Yeah, 2.3 million is a lot of health, but if you just... you know, think while playing the game it's not that hard.
It's quite sad that this generation hasn't had many bonafide classics. I honestly can't really think of any. Super Mario Galaxy, maybe. There just hasn't been any timeless games. Ah well.
As far as past generations go, I mean, aren't the choices obvious? The classics, of course.
1994 - Super Metroid 1995 - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island 1996 - Super Mario 64 1997 - Final Fantasy VII 1998 - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 1999 - Final Fantasy VIII 2000 - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 2001 - Paper Mario 2002 - Resident Evil 2003 - Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire 2004 - Half-Life 2 2005 - Resident Evil 4 2006 - Final Fantasy XII 2007 - Halo 3 2008 - Rock Band 2 2009 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Granted, I have played very few games from 09. As far as shear playtime goes nothing came close to Modern Warfare 2.
Final Fantasy X's ending had an effect on me when I was about 12 years old. I don't think it'd do the same these days, but that is still one high quality video game.
