The problem though is that I just accidentally ran in to a main mission while riding on my horse to a side op (I completely blame the design here, they shouldn't have unlocked it that early).

If it's a relatively early yellow side op (trying to avoid spoilers), it's designed that way. I have the strategy guide and they mention it will be triggered when you are doing that particular op.

Skullgrope on steam, possible to get a steam group invite?

Still getting to the mission for FoBs in singleplayer, but looking forward to making some alliances.

This reminds me of the farmville feature when everyone started playing farmville with the interns (myself included).

Funny thing is, I think this is the first time in WoW I've discovered someone I know on the same realm as me (with the number of realms, the odds aren't in your favor). I happen to have all my characters on Aerie Peak, which is convenient.

So, they haven't announced the new video guy yet, right?

Apparently this Jason Oestreicher chap from gameinformer is also leaving for a new job in San Fran like Dan. It could totally be a coincidence like all the other people moving to San Francisco to confuse us, or it could be a double pickup for GB from gameinformer.

Seriously guys, do you honestly think they wont throw some modifications on the voice before final release? It is alpha for christ's sake. Also the Ghost is a freaking robot, what do you want it to sound like? Did you want it to sound like Ronald McDonald or something? Also have you heard what Glados sounds like before all the voice work was done to make it sound synthetic? I will give you a hint. It sounded pretty dry and deadpan, exactly like what they intended.

However @turambar that picture is balling, so to speak.

They've released official trailers (also in gameplay back from 2013) with the same voice as the 'alpha'. They're not going to include his voice in a trailer unless they expect it to be representative of the final game, and they've had plenty of time to add a couple effects to the audio if they had wanted. I don't think anyone has an issue with him sounding like a robot if they added effects like glados has; the problem is without that, it sounds like a really flat performance from Peter Dinklage.

But at this point, with this probably being the point of most controversy with the game, I wouldn't be surprised if they do as you mentioned.

In regards to a PC version. Quotes from an IGN video interview around 16:52:

"we're concentrating on the xbox one version of the game right now. That's not to say a PC version's impossible, but it's not currently a plan" ... "as you know microsoft is taking PC pretty seriously as a gaming platform"

Reads to me like a PC version could very well happen/be announced in the future. With what Jeff has said about mouse prompts in the demo version, I'd guess they have dev builds running on PCs but don't have immediate solutions for things like anti-cheat or a replacement for games for windows live to handle gamertags and all that. I'd guess a PC version release after the Xbox one.

Would really appreciate a NA Guest Pass since I'm considering canceling my ESO for PS4 preorder and getting this instead. Thanks!

Edit: Would be more than happy to join someone's guild in exchange and a PM'ed code would be much appreciated since I'm sorta slow sometimes lol

Is the one I posted taken? If so I can PM you one.

NA Guest pass for anyone looking to try out the game. Apparently Guest pass players can't join guilds, but be sure to roll on Warbringer so you can join Kite Co should you decide to get the full game!

Question. I also re-rolled on Warbringer Exiles but haven't gotten into guild options yet. How do we join? Do we need to be a certain level first?

You can join the custom chat channel 'giantbomb' in-game and ask for an invite, post your name here, or whisper someone in the guild in-game.

You saying it basically plays like WoW? I thought it pretty much specifically said it didn't. I mean, I played WoW from the end of BC to the end of Cataclysm so I enjoyed the end game content to an extent, but I never got more than 1 character to max level.

It's a themepark MMO with quests, dungeons, battlegrounds, 40 man raids, housing. You level up by doing quests like you would find in an mmo like WoW. Combat is hotkey based but requires movement/positioning, similar to guild wars 2.
