@Abyssfull: Yeah, I definitely miss the leveling aspect of ME1.  I like any game that gives an incentive to defeat the enemies other than removing obstacles whether that be tried-n-true red orbs, experience, money, etc.  ME2, I think, just gave a flat XP rate regardless of how / what you defeated.

As far as planet-scanning is concerned, that's a whole blog post in and of itself.

I understand that the Mako of ME1 was rough to handle and I have threatened to throw my controller numerous times trying to cross the terrain of some planets, but I also remember a few times I'd drive my Mako towards a towering mountain in anticipation of finding some way to scale it.  To completely remove that and replace it with a singleplayer of Battleship might have been a little bit... drastic.

@Scullinator: I've read it is 4 times on Xbox360achievements.org.  I can definitely see how it will take 3 playthroughs as you can only get the Teammate Completion achievements two times per game.  Right now I'm on my second playthrough with my male Shepherd and levels 50-60 are moving very slowly.

You wouldn't believe how hard GameStop was pushing me to purchase a pre-owned Mass Effect 2 that was sitting on the shelf.

Now with this additional DLC (along with the Day One stuff), saving $5 bucks on the pre-owned game would have been a really big mistake.

If you want to know what happens during "Return to Ostogar," just watch the Quick Look the guys made of it.  30-35 minutes tops, and I think it easily over half of the DLC.

Not to hijack this thread, but I think a better question would be:
Hale, Renegade or Paragon?
Meer, Renegade or Paragon?

My choices, as mentioned above, are Hale as Paragon and Meer as Renegade.  The Renegade script fits the male Shepherd better than the female, imho.

I still hear her calling me that in my head when I sleep at night, stirred awake by the rantings of a game I'll never play... if only Kratos was there to save me.

I know what's going on here.  BioWare does not want us to stop playing their games.

Even at the hint that we might stop because it is too hard, they'll show up (like Spiderman) to save the day.

Damn them... damn them, those magnificent game developers.

When you first meet Liara, she'll give you a really awkward hug and what appeared to be a forced kiss.  And that's pretty much it.

At the moment, I've gone with Meer as Renegade, Hale as Paragon.

I like the idea of my female character being a -good- person more than her being a -bad- person.

Although, at least in Mass Effect 1, Renegade Meer is laughable... 'cept when he punches that reporter, that was awesome.

Shale definitely made tanking easier.  Alistair is a good character and can be made into a successful tank, but Shale requires less of an investment...

As a side note, she will not spend a majority of her time hitting on your female rogue awkwardly like Alistair does... >.>
