I just want to take a second to point out that I made a change to the application tonight so that is no longer requires a username in a e-mail address format. I had a lot of people believing I was phishing for Battle.Net Accounts and, while I absolutely wasn't, I couldn't argue that I had chosen my field names... poorly.

Anyway, use whatever username and password you want. And I've added some pretty noticeable warnings as well.

Enjoy!

Hi guys,

Having had some success on Reddit, I thought I would clue you fine folks in on a mobile web app I made called DiabloAH.

Tired of Diablo 3's Auction House lacking some key features, I decided to create an app that mimics one of my favorite addons from WoW (specifically Auctioneer) that can be used on mobile devices.

Because there is no API for the Auction House, it does require you to provide some specific details about an item, but, once complete, offers rich features like Comparison Stats, Bid/Buyout Suggestions, and Market Research (a neat feature that compares your item against all other successful sales to determine it's worth).

Today, DiabloAH is much more powerful than the Excel Spreadsheet it began as and has helped me sell over 70 items and make a little under 1.5 million gold (and 4 dollars!) on the AH. And, as of this writing, is being used by hundreds of other players.

I do want to mention that this isn't a scam or anything like that. I'm hosting the app on my own dime. It does ask for an email address and password, but I don't do anything with them.

You can absolutely use a completely bogus email address and password as long as you remember it.

Please DO NOT use your BNET Account information. This app is standalone and does not connect to Blizzard's Servers.

---------------

More details about the app (as well as screenshots) can be found on it's "About" page:

About DiabloAH

Recent updates can be found on the "Latest Updates" page:

Latest Updates

And, you are also welcome to read the reddit where I first announced the app by visiting:

Introducing DiabloAH (reddit)

---------------

I'll gladly answer any questions you might have about the app on here as well. I make little applications like this all the time, but I generally keep them private. This is the first one I sunk a large amount of time into and I wanted to share it. Not to mention, the more users it has, the better it becomes.

As a fellow Barbarian, I have seen the light of All Resist gear in Inferno. I don't even -look- at a piece of gear unless it's got some All Resist on it.

Sitting in unbuffed at 400 before Act 2, need a bit more before I'll stand a chance.

How come nobody mentions Dungeon Siege II and Borderlands? What are they, chopped liver?

But seriously, I love dungeon crawlers and Diablo 3 is a very well done one by any measure.

Man, I'm imagining a Borderlands game with Randomized map layouts and D3 style events... I'm salivating right now.

Let us all hope and pray Borderlands 2 is paying attention. Randomized events and map layouts would make that a "perfect" game in my eyes.

If you listen to BS videos like those you will miss out on one of the best ARPG experiences ever created. Its that simple.

ARPG, and especially dungeon crawlers, are my absolute favorite "genre". I love the loot, the building of your character, the carthartic and relaxing requirement of kill a thing, get a thing.

Diablo 3 is hands down the best one I've ever played. They have completely nailed what makes the genre great and addicting.

Level 60 Barbarian
Solo'd Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno Act 1

It's a very defensive set up, but allows me to basically stand there and eat a majority of whatever the elites throw at me.

Right now I'm gearing up for Act 2 Inferno and rarely eat it in Act 1 anymore.

I also use WASD for my skills instead of the numbers and Space Bar for my potion button. Saved me from a lot of accidents (which can be quite costly when your cool downs determine an Elite win or fail).

On a side note, Blizzard did say 80% of characters are knee deep in nightmare.

If I could stomach it, using my high level barb to farm gear in the 35-50 level range pretty much guarantees the largest pool of customers.

@haffy

lol what's everyone's problem with the auction house? If I'm leveling up a new character I use it pretty much every 5-10 levels.

This.

I friggin love the auction house. I've got a level 60 barbarian (my only character) that I just got to Act 2 Inferno with.

A typical hour of gameplay for me consists of running through Act 1, getting 5 stacks of Valor, and gathering a bunch of gold. Hop out. Hit the auction house. 350K gold? That's two really nice upgrades or maybe one -really- nice upgrade. Sell my stuff (using my handy-dandy Excel sheet I made that helps determine what I should sell at). Rinse, repeat.

I love the auction house. Gold is now equal to XP for me.

Two as I entered "Hell" with my barbarian. A pretty crappy intellect axe on Normal and Etrayu the bow (which I sold for quite a bit of gold) in Act 4 on Nightmare.
