@deadlydog: Once you play the game for a bit you get used to it. It has so much to offer in other aspects that you will play it anyway. At least that is what happened to me.
GB has done some bad quick looks, I think they need to spend 20+ hours on this game to give it a fair showing.
I don't think you get my analogy. You're not paying for a mug your paying for the station. You paying $100 to support something you enjoy (the station) and you get a FREE mug.
None of the cosmetic stuff is worth what they charge, that's because the game is free. Your paying to support the developers, the effect you get is like a little thank you. Coffee mugs aren't worth $100, but people still give money to NPR.
You can search the forums for items and in some cases even put in buyout amounts to see what people are willing to sell stuff for. You should probably get an idea for what your drops are worth quickly. If you click on the serach results it will open a new tab with the forum post that contains the item and a lot of people will separate their gear by worth. Their forum post should have there IGN and you can contact them if you want to buy anything. This site eliminates one problem with the trade system: finding items. Hopefully GGG will fix the rest of the issues in the next big patch.
I decided not to buy this because of how badly they handled the UMS system in the original SC2. I played WC3 for about 3 years with the vast majority of my time spent playing dota, kodo tag, TD map, ect. I bought SC2 believing that I was going to get the same modding experience. Instead I got 10 maps that were only played because they came out first. All the good maps got no attention because of Blizzards UMS system and fell to the bottom. It was impossible to play any game that was not on the first page or two. I quit trying shortly after release and haven't tried since. I played the campaign of SC2 WoL and thought it was ok, and played multiplayer but I knew those would only hold me for so long. If this expansion doesn't fix the UMS I don't think it would be worth my money.
Has there been anything in this expansion or patches that would give any hope to a person like me?
