Figured I'd start early, just for the sake of remembering stuff.

Because why not.

Because why not.

This list is for games that I'm currently lusting after. The thing is, they are either in some sort of development hell, haven't been announced, or plain don't exist and probably won't for some time if ever.

So far...not in any order yet.

I trade in games regularly. This is often a bad idea, as this list will demonstrate. This list covers the PS/Xbox era onward, excluding handhelds.

In no order. I think.

I think this is the final order. Full disclosure: I haven't played Skyward Sword but I know I would love it because it's Zelda. I kept it out of the top ten so no foul, right?

Generally speaking, I'm not fan of DLC. I immediately saw it for the slippery slope that it is and, unsurprisingly, most publishers have abused the loyalty of their customers. But occasionally a piece of DLC comes out that's worth the price and provi

In no particular order, one game per franchise, no iOS or PC.

These would be my favorite locations in gaming. Be it just a town, an entire universe, or just a really cool set piece, these places are just kind of magical.

Excluding demos. This list is going to take a while as I'm old.

These are the games that I will love until my dying day. One game per franchise! In Order! OMG!

Every game on this list is a real retail copy. Downloadable games included for shits and giggles.

Every system I've ever owned. I've made some terrible decisions in my life but few haunt me as much as getting rid of my old gaming stuff.

Just my list of games that I wish had a sequel

Just a list of some of my favorite games that weren't appreciated at the time of release.

If only I could jump into the screen.

Playing through Arkham Asylum really made me think about how rare it is to play a great comic book inspired game. Here's a list of some of my favorites.

1C publishes most Eastern Block games these days. I love games that come out of Eastern Europe and Russia. If "Eastern Bloc" was a proper genre I would probably declare it as my favorite. So why the fasicination? I guess I just really like the cerebr

A list in progress

I'm fairly skittish with video games when it comes to finishing them. With games coming out every week I tend to move on to the newest greatest thing before completing the task at hand. With that said it's extremely rare for me to actually enjoy a ga

If someone can tell me why we can't have a decent Looney Tunes, Pixar or Jeopardy game I'd love to hear it. Enjoy this mix of forgotten and ill-treated franchises.

Thanks Jeff! As a recently turned thirty-year old that started gaming at the age of five I feel pretty good about having a large catalog of game memories versus most of my peers. Due to a kid-filled neighborhood in the suburbs of DC I got a healthy

Here is a list of the 15 games I would buy if I were a younger gamer looking to check out some classic games on Good Old Games. Note that this isn't a list of 15 best games from a historical context, or games that nostalgists should revisit, but the

A list of pages that are either filled out really well or are so weird that it's amazing that they actually exist.

They're not always the best games. They're just my favorite for one reason or another. This list isn't in any particular order and I'm going to go for the more obscure stuff first, since no one needs to see a list that says "OH MAN SUPER MARIO WORLD

The mid-1990s were a pretty special time in gaming. The PlayStation was everywhere, and mod chips were becoming common. This opened me up to a world of crazy-ass import games. Since I happened to have something of a budget that I could put toward acq

Different people with different upbringings in different eras mean that everyone's going to have a different answer to the question. For the record, when people ask me, I usually say Tetris. It's certainly not my favorite game of all-time, but if yo

If I needed to start a world-class force of fighters--you know, men and women who needed to be on-call at all times, ready to fight terror wherever it may rear its nefarious head--these would be the guys at the top of my list.

I should note that I mean licensed in the traditional sense of taking characters or stories from other mediums and bringing them to games. I don't mean sports games like Madden or Tony Hawk, even though both are technically licensed products.

Or, if you want to be all technical about it, "guilty pleasures." And yeah, "bad" is probably a strong term. Some of these games are merely middling. But at some point I don't want a huge title for the list.

This is mostly here to motivate me to add more pinball machines to the database.

These are the sorts of games that, if they were to come up while arguing with someone who didn't like games, you'd just have to shrug your shoulders and say "yeah, well... yeah."

While reviewing games certainly has its challenges, comparing two games that have next to nothing in common is actually much harder. These apples-to-oranges moments forced me to really consider things like "is a weird portable rhythm game better or w

Pretty simple, really. This is a list of all of the music or game noises I've used as ringtones or as incoming SMS noises.

Here are the games I think would work terrifically with Game Room's leaderboard and challenge features.

With all due respect to Tekken, of course.

I'm usually fairly down on iPhone games, but I wanted to have a way to point out games that I've found on the iPhone and iPad that are actually worth checking out. Hence this list, which I'll add to sporadically.

My top 10 for 2012!

C'mon, look at that face!

Playing these now!

One of the (relative) downsides of covering games for a living is only having a finite amount of time to play games, and often having to play a bunch of games you'd rather not mess with. A consequence of this responsibility is lacking the time to pla
