I remember a time when a lot of forums would have titles under usernames associated with how many posts a user had. When I used to be younger and more naive, I would end up posting on forums a bunch just so I could have a cool forum title myself. That's all posts used to mean to me.

They don't really mean much to me now, aside from distinguishing who is more active on a community.

I guess I'll finally be able to play with my Nintendo DS for the first time in years.

I'm across the Hudson River from Lower Manhattan so I headed out to my relatives' place in Cliffside Park. We won't get flooded where I relocated to, but we'll have an interesting view of the surges from our elevation.

You also have to be on Age 3; from what I remember Age 3 is what triggers me being able to have up to four TCs.

Haven't the editors stated they weren't trying to focus Giant Bomb as a video games news outlet? This is simply a website about people who love games.

I love video games, and I appreciate their news-related editorials and how they write news without detaching themselves from the subject and going for the more straight-up news angle we see from most bigger websites that cover video games. "Professional journalism" might frown upon that and on their use of swearing in articles, but I don't come here for professional journalism. I come here because I love video games, I love this website and respect the editors such that I don't have a problem with them swearing in articles at all.

I've played several of co-op games, and the only quests I get rewards for are the ones I have active. Basically, what you need to do is look at your Quest list for co-op quests, look in "LFG" for people posting up that same quest and enter it, then you should have the same active objectives as the person you're in co-op with.

If the objectives don't come up then you're quest probably isn't active and you probably aren't going to have it register as a completed quest.

The other thing is that the guardian chests aren't shared from what I've observed.

All you need to do on Athens is open a new tab on the chat menu, right click the tab and select "Options" and where it says "Join Channel" type "GiantBomb" and that's the channel everyone from GB is on. It's relatively quiet every now and then but the discussion there is much better than what you'd see out of "General" et. al. the standard chat channels for AoEO.

I just had a slug fest trying to solo Egyptian Alliance. (Ironically, the Egyptian Allies aren't good for much aside from sitting pretty.)

I think at this point I'll start getting used to building walls to keep my enemies at bay, too.
