Love Ron, but I sure wish that if he is going to be friends with a serial sexual assaulter, he at very least wouldn't shout him out on Giant Bomb. But he should really just not be friends with a serial sexual assaulter.
@rorie: Yep. All add-ons disabled, browser in safe/clean mode, still happens. Doesn't happen in Chrome, only Firefox. Not using any new add-ons or browser mods in the last few months as opposed to a year ago, but it has only been a recent issue.
As titled. Has been an issue for several months now. It acts as if I am not logged in, but if I go to the main page from the upgrade screen, I am still logged in.
Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362
Firefox 69.0.3, Standard tracking protection, Ublock Origin, custom theme
Doesn't matter if I go through http or https, same issue. I've tried disabling Ublock, turning off tracking protection, using the standard Firefox theme with no results. Running in a private window with no enhancements did anything, either. Chrome works fine. Well, as fine as Chrome can work, anyway. But there's no issue, I guess.
Not that I hate to see Jeff's face every time I visit the site, but it's starting to feel like he is taunting me.
Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. It's not the biggest problem, just an annoyance.
@rorie: This is the Run 14 is still missing as well. Most East Coast streams seem to be at least 12 hours behind on getting into RSS.
It normally isn't a huge problem, but I watch most of my stuff through Xbox, and the main site doesn't really work with the browser. You either watch on the site player and it buffers constantly (I have 300/30 internet, so it shouldn't be an issue), or if you watch using the internal video player, if you pause and walk away for 5-10 minutes, you get an error message saying "video not decoded" or something. That happens on PS4, too.
Akamai just doesn't like having to keep the connection going, or something.
I have a problem on both my phone and tablet, one running Android 7.1, the other running Android 8:
I watch using Chrome, and if I just try watching on the mobile site, the screen goes black and nothing ever happens. If I switch to the desktop version, or use the Chrome video player, it works fine. So the problem isn't with delivery, it's something to do with the mobile site's player.
It isn't a big deal since I have other ways of watching video, but wanted to keep y'all in the loop!
@someoneproud: Just want to mention, as you are probably aware, that it wouldn't be surprising for Firefox to be canvasing themselves, even with the fingerprint blocker they supply turned on. I don't have any hard info on this or anything, I just don't trust them (or anyone) to actually follow through on something like this. And the light info I have found seems to suggest it isn't doing as much as it should, so sticking with Canvas Defender is the right move.
Ever since Adblock and Ghostery started selling out their users, though, I expect any privacy company to eventually sell the data they have collected.
I can never understand the advocacy for DBZ Kai, when that show does more to tear down what makes DBZ great than any amount of "adding" it does by shortening power up scenes. It strips out 90% of the comedy and goofiness which was what made the show what it was. Turning it into some fighting and training only show. I have to assume people that swear by Kai don't like Super since it is more slice of life comedy than action.
For about two weeks now I haven't been able to watch any videos on my Galaxy Tab S2 (Android 7.0) with all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, whatever browser the tab came with). All I get is "Loading Video...". Cleared cache, cleared all browser data, didn't help. Logged into the site, not logged in, makes no difference. Other sites (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) work fine. PC on the same router works fine.
Any ideas?
Edit: Download works fine, at least that gives me a workaround outside of streams.
