Dude, you don't have to be hostile. You need to understand that some people check out video game sites mainly for reviews while others just Google the latest news about gaming. Personally, I greatly enjoy reading GB reviews and their other writeups (even the video reviews).  And some others...simply check out reviews for their ratings. I find GB reviews more engaging compared to the competition, I like how the words are put together (the choice of words, etc), l like how the reviews have an honest assertion and spot-on feel to it (i.e. GTAIV review).

It's not my wish to make a definitive stand. I started the thread to unearth some more facts as to why a review (for a game that's big and anticipated) becomes really late. There's probably lack of manpower reason why such things happen; I see Vinny posting videos for Tested.com (which is great) so obviously the guys are busy. I'm just wanting a heads up why the FF13 review is not up yet as I am roused to know what GBs take on it would be.

Please respect other people's opinions and viewpoints. We cannot be right all the time. We never have to sound high and mighty, know-it-all and absolute being to others. I believe in humility and a genuine desire to listen rather than talk.

youre wrong. The kotaku review only came out 2 days ago or something, and they specifically bash square for giving them a review copy so late "
That's why I said "not always." Still, I appreciate the input.

Oh. Ok.

Yes they are, but not in all the reviews. I think Metacritic just achieves a certain number of game reviews in aggregating scores or something else. Have a look at Dante's Inferno, GB's review isn't there.

This reminds me of Ryan's review of Dante's Inferno. That one was really late. I dunno, I just want to see Giantbomb be included in Metacritic and the other similar sites that aggregate scores. I want them to "win," like, be at the top if  you will, or amongst the top. It's a good advert for the site to get a review done pretty much on time.

I understand the GB krew is busy. I understand when a review is a day or two late (or maybe till 3 days). I don't understand when a review is really overdue.

I can't decide between Infamous and GTA4 really. Both are great games. Jeff's review article on GTA4 was amazingly well written, it felt like what has to be said on this game were all said in one page, you can feel on Jeff's words the exact emotion you have with the game. Brad's video review on Infamous was awesome, right choice of words were used that it makes you really want to get to the store and buy the game. Actually, that's what I did!
