An unusual mix of a dozen mini-games, coherent in style and charm, why don't we see more games like it?
Even though there is little depth and little AI, it is fun while figuring it all out.

GT fucking A. Satire, open world, car radio, flying.
-
Hero-Based RTS with a campaign that ventures from myth, through history to an interesting vision of the future. Walls, defenses, marine and airborne units.
A little too much rock-paper-scissors strategizing.
-
An RPG WITHOUT grind, loot gambling and too much repetition, the very opposite of the average MMO and hence an amazing game. Sadly developed for the venerable directX 9 generation as a console port.
-
A little management/strategy game, forever in the shadow of the sillier and more "out-there" Civilization, it also got a descent remake as a CIV IV: Colonization expansion.
-
An ambitious, innovative RTS as opposed to C&C or SC(2): featuring cover, destruction, realism, aim. With a ticket system that offers a visible score, but somewhat hard swings on the upgrade path.
Trying to keep 15 capture points under control, is also rather stressful.
-
Great combination of RPG and shooter, realism, Sci-Fi and horror with an interesting dynamic world. Probably the last of the great PC games.
-
An adventure game that didn't suck and could be completed without a guide.
-
Great example of limited scope and ambition, reasonably well executed. Curiously, this game alone has at least four different takes on its Nemesis system.
-
First title to make me appreciate console games. Probably didn't age that well.
