So the first game was set in the 1190's. The second is three hundred years later, the 1490's. Anyone else seeing Assassin's Creed 3 set in the 1790's, America perhaps? This would leave Desmond's time in the 2090's following the intervals in years. Who else thinks so?3 days, 19 hours ago -
If I remember right from around the first game, Desmond is living in 2012.... September-ish or something. I remember there being references to December 21, 2012, saying it would take place that year... whatever "it" is.3 days, 19 hours ago

I'm on "The Convoy," and my overall impression of the game so far is that it feels like a decent game based on an amazing adventure film. Too bad that amazing adventure film doesn't exist, because the best parts of Uncharted 2 are the cutscenes. The French New Wave is relevant to my interests. Truffaut vs. Godard is perhaps just as pertinent of a question as Cake vs. Pie. Could anyone even imagine a French New Wave game? Maybe a loading screen would be the entire thing. Or maybe each level would be intercut at random places, and the shoddy frame rate is intentional. Within an hour of the game, I've hijacked multiple tanks, leveled buildings, and gunned through missions with an online comrade.
