Why do you assume a game on steam being $13 and a game on consoles being $55 is because of no used sales? Where do you make that connection?

Is that game on XBL and PSN digitally? Probably.
Is it $13? I bet it isn't.

There is already a closed digital platform with no resale. The thing you lament that you will never get, you already have.

If they aren't even attempting to compete now, why do you have faith that they would later, with less competition?

@bigjeffrey: Then that proves that good digital sales can exist alongside physical media on the Xbox, right? The argument makes even less sense to me now.

Did Microsoft ever even imply that there would be steam-like sales?
Why aren't there great digital sales now on the 360? You can't sell a downloaded game as it is, so where have the benefits been for the past few years? How does the presence of a disc mean they suddenly can't have sales?

This argument seems like it's based on nothing to me.

Still PS4, but it's a big move in the right direction for MS. The Xbox went from a never to a possibility.

I haven't bought or sold anything to a Gamestop in years and the only people trying to get me to go to Gamestop more than Gamestop, are video game publishers.

I don't see lower prices for digital stuff, or download only pre-order bonuses. Publishers have the power already to do something about it, but they choose not to. Restricting the consumer is never the way.

We have been talking about this, while it was unconfirmed, for months. Were they banking on, 'Once they see the games they will shut up' or something? The feedback was always negative. They can't actually think this is new and out of nowhere.

Fat Princess. The servers were broken day 1 and when I finally played it, it was just kind of hectic and not that interesting. I think that's when I made my rule of, $15 and no demo = no buy. My niece got a ton of play time out of it though, so it wasn't all bad.
